This track is very personal to me. I recently lost my childhood best friends to a cult. It was like a bad movie where I thought i could talk to them and try to get them to remember their authentic selves. I was sadly mistaken. I tried everything in my power to keep the friendship but some people fall into societal traps and suffer at the hands of bad faith actors with selfish intentions. No organization should tell you to isolate oneself from family, friends and those in your community. This song is a diss track to organized religion and to my former best friends who hide from me and refuse to engage with reality.
