PREMIERE | Ape Suit - Stars In Broad Daylight [JT006]

I thought it's time for something new on my chanel :) Sorry, but i can't spend a next pro to me, so i deleted 2 older ones for replacing at least one mix. But all my sets are to hear on my You Tube Chanel. This one is really a special one for me. Next to playing some tracks by producers and djs that i may call friends now, the set got mastered by producer and dj Lysergene from Birmingham UK!! Huge thanks to you for doing the mastering for one of my sets. So be perhaps a bit careful cause of the Volume, it's definately louder and with more pressure than you are used to listening to my sets!! Massive big ups in general to all artists and labels represented in this set!!! But next to Lysergene some special shout outs to AshSparrow and L Nix. Check out their stuff and support the guys. The Ape Suit project is the musical exploration of Corey, a human from Earth (probably). Corey enjoys nature, art and kindness. He is most fascinated by human’s being, interesting textures, abstract rhythms and frequencies between 30-100hz. In the dream world Corey collects financial stability as a live sound engineer and has developed a life focused on the sonic universe and artistic expression.

The Ape Suit palette takes influences from deep 140, minimal dnb, breaks, left-field trap and avante garde noise.

Some nice labels around the world have released music in support of the Ape Suit project with plenty more low-end, forth-coming. (Jah Tek, 4NCY, Incurzion, Muti, Dread or Dead)

Ape Suit tunes have been played out by Reso, Ternion Sound, Incursion, Fat Kid On Fire, Subtle FM and other obscure DJs and strange humans around the world.

 The third original track 'Now is the Envy of the Dead' has an element of breaks in it with a lovely shuffle throughout that allows it to vibe alongside some awesome vocal sampling.

To kick off our 2025 release schedule we are pleased to welcome Ape Suit to the label for his debut with this saucy little number entitled 'Duality EP'. The three tracks on show here from the Australian producer demonstrate his ear for sound design and a blurring of styles, with elements of breaks, techno and glitch all combining with the 140/dubstep vibe to create something truly unique, which is shown again through the amazing track titles.

Opening number 'Where You Stumble Lies Your Treasure' kicks of proceedings nicely with a techy inspired tracks that marries nicely with some distorted bass driving the track along. 'Sirens and Screems' ups the energy with some LFO madness that drives the track through various stages of cleverness, lots of change ups and lovely drum breaks. The third original track 'Now is the Envy of the Dead' has an element of breaks in it with a lovely shuffle throughout that allows it to vibe alongside some awesome vocal sampling.

On remix duty we welcome back our breaks aficionado Ekula to flip 'Sirens and Screams' as only he knows how, taking the energy of the original and dialling it up to 11, then applying breaks and amens a plenty!

Hi, I'm hobby DJ for over 20 years now. I'm deep into Drum & Bass/Dubstep/Uk Breaks & Deep-Progressive House and make mixes for myself. Perhaps somebody likes some of them. I will upload mixes in diffrent electronic music genres from the mid 90's till now. I just use legal bought tracks, all rights belong to artists & labels.
