With a laugh and a promise, she outfoxed old Red the Bear!

Beat me in a contest, and you I’ll ever serve"

Red, he grinned wide, said, "Girl, you’re playin’ bold,

Honey pointed yonder where the river split,
"See that honeycomb? Bet you can’t resist it."

"First one to the hive gets the sweet golden prize,
But if you lose, Red, you’ll shut your hungry eyes."
Red took off a-runnin’, shook the ground below,
But Honey just whistled—she’d sawn the branch slow.

With a crack and a splash, old Red did drown!

Now some say at midnight, if you’re quiet and still,

You have likely already figured this out, but the strategy of this show is pretty much to share msuic with you that I've been playing for my own enjoyment.  It's not quite the whole range - I spare you the Benedictine thrash metal or the obscure scat joiking or the heavy dark age gothic meanderings.  But over the past three months here at Routes & Branches & Beyond I've been doing a series on compilation albums.  So I have several piles of CDs waiting to be played on the show.  I guest that it's time for some Spring Cleaning!
