Welkom bij aflevering 3 van seizoen 6 van De Biervrienden Podcast! Na in de vorige afleveringen de langverwachte bierpakketjes te hebben geopend, is het deze keer weer tijd voor een traditiegetrouw onderdeel uit onze podcast. Centraal staan in deze aflevering twee Biervriendenbiertjes, zorgvuldig uitgezocht door Maarten en Thom en passend bij de novembermaand.
Maarten mocht het spits afbijten met de Mercator Tripel van de Rimor Brewery uit België; een tripel geïnspireerd door de verre specerijentochten uit de 16e eeuw. Deze kruidige tripel, verrijkt met szechuanpeper, beloofde een pittige en volle start van deze aflevering!
Thom bracht een kleine onbedoelde vergelijking mee. De Apfelstrudel Doppelbock van Brouwerij ’t Uiltje, waarvan een flesje uit 2023 en 2022 zijn meegenomen. De vergelijking tussen deze smaakvolle Dubbel bracht een mooie discussie voort over de rijping van bieren en verschillen tussen jaaroplages van eenzelfde biersoort.

Tonight we apply the philosopher’s thought experiment of The Ship of Theseus to the issues of meaning, and Matt tells the story of rebuilding his father’s table.

Ep 220: My Father's Table (The Ship of Theseus)

Welkom bij de 5e editie van de Kerstspecial! Traditiegetrouw komen de mannen al 5 onafgebroken jaren samen om tijdens de donkere kerstdagen met een grote fles speciaalbier te proosten op de vriendschap. Al proevend, babbelend en vooral genietend bespreken Maarten en Thom de nieuwe opzet van de podcast en staan ze stil bij 5 jaar podcast maken door de statistieken onder de loep te nemen. Daarbij hebben de mannen voor deze 5e editie van de Kerstspecial de traditionele Q&A nieuw leven ingeblazen. Al jullie prangende vragen worden beantwoord: variërend van welke brouwerij ons ideaal lijkt voor het brouwen van een Biervriendenbier tot de vraag of we een propper of vouwer zijn. 
Naast het beantwoorden van jullie vragen leggen de heren elkaar enkele dilemma’s voor en wordt hun vriendschap op de proef gesteld. Zo wordt de conclusie getrokken dat er tijdens het vieren van Oud en Nieuw best kratjes Holger kunnen worden gedronken, maken we een keuze tussen bier drinken uit 3 liter pullen of uit shotglaasjes en bespreken we of we liever in een koude schuur opnemen of elke aflevering een karaoke nummer zingen.

Met House music early when He was a child, through his brother. The first steps of listening Global Underground series gave him a great taste for House music. Visited parties since the age of 16, He saw the DJ booth should be the right place for Him. After He got many House tracks, the practise was the next next step with DJ softwares. From the early 2010's played in Budapest, Rotterdam and the local bars in his Hometown on CDJs. 2020 He was the winner of the hungarian legend DJ Budai’s DJ competition in House category by I Love Deep Production. 2024 He started a new podcast series called 'HOUSERIES' on Soundcloud.
