Hello Trance Podcast Episode 22 | Festive Fire Up,End Of Year Special 2024

Afternoon all, and welcome to Entranced Radio Sessions!

Back in 2014-2015, I used to run a radio show called Entranced Radio Sessions on an internet based radio station called Trance Energy Radio. This recording is the show I did for the End of Year party that they had - this aired on new years eve 2014, so it went hard.

I had no idea what i was doing (some would say i still dont) up to the point that I was mixing using a keyboard, as i didnt even have a controller at that point. Still, it turned out well. Arguably one of my favvourite mixes that I have ever done - its proper bonkers and is a real look back at what was a great year for tech, uplifting and vocal trance.

Hope you enjoy it. No idea what the tracklist is, but it involves tracks by artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Mark Sherry, John Askew, Simon Patterson, Asterix and many more!

I'm just a guy trying to make people happy! I love to play EDM, from big room techno, big room, progressive right through to trance and hardstyle! 

I've supported legends such as Scooter, Darren Styles, Ben Nicky and Blasterjaxx as a Hellfire resident, and also play a monthly Bottomless Brunch at home in Northwich, which is mainly house, charts and classics (and the vibe is absolutely CLASS!), as well as a residency at my local pub which is a massive mix right through from house to clubland! 

I also play unique private functions, including weddings and birthdays, specifically specialising in dance music!

I started my electronic musical journey in 2008. I used to run a radio show first on EM Radio, and then on Trance Energy Radio that used to showcase the latest in Tech, uplifting, and emotional trance.

Over the years I have moved to a more progressive sound, and during the first lockdown I started a Podcast called Mind Therapy Radio which is dedicated to progressive trance, and the deeper side of electronic music. I have played a number of live shows at Anjunalounge in Birmingham, as part of their DJ showcase evenings, and more recently with Craig O'Brien aka OBZ under our Progressive Sessions Project.

IVÁN PEQUEÑO is a Spanish DJ, known for his powerful and vocal, high-beat sets, with more than 20 years of music career.

He became popular in 2013 while working as Resident DJ for more than a year for LOL party at Cool Ballroom, the biggest gay club in Madrid at that time.

Iván has played at some of the most renowned gay parties all over the world, such as WE Party, PAPA Party, Forever Tel Aviv, Dies3l Festival, and Matinée Pervert, sharing DJ booths with outstanding artists such as Offer Nissim, Micky Friedmann, Dan Slater, Taito Tikaro, and Tomer Maizner.

He has also collaborated year after year in different European cities: In Amsterdam for Rapido Events; at MACHO (being this one the official afterparty of “La Demence” anniversary’s main event in Brussels); at both London’s and Maspalomas’ Fetish Weeks (powered by Recon); at several International Prides (Naples, Maspalomas, Toulouse, Madrid); and has teamed up at clubs in other cities around the globe, such as Rome, Paris, Lisbon, and Lausanne (Europe); Guangzhou, China (Asia); San José, Costa Rica (Americas); and Beirut, Lebanon (Africa).

Iván is currently Resident Dj at "Freedom Party" and "Maspalomas Pride".

Se hizo popular como Dj Residente durante más de 1 año en la sesión LOL de la emblemática sala Cool de Madrid.

Sus dj sets han sido bailados en fiestas tan importantes como "WE Party", "PAPA Party by Eliad Cohen", "Forever Tel Aviv", "Di3sel Festival" y "Matinée Pervert", llegando a compartir cabina con artistas como Offer Nissim, Micky Friedmann, Dan Slater, Taito Tikaro o Tomer Maizner.

Tom started DJing at the young age of 11 back in 1997/98 and was influenced by the likes of Armin Van Buuren, & Judge Jules after listening to his shows on BBC Radio 1. 

He was particularly influenced by Jules’s  Saturday Night mix section of the show which focused on uplifting/tech trance.

In 2011 Tom launched Killswitch Radio which went on to go from strength to strength, rapidly building him a strong global audience with over 140 episodes which ran for over a decade.

Uplifting Tech trance and techno was at the forefront of the monthly 2 hour radio show, showcasing his exclusive live sets both from his home studio and at club events, alongside guest DJ appearances in the latter part of the show.


In 2023, 

Tom decided to rebranded Killswitch Radio by launching a brand new monthly radio show, called Infinity, which focuses on all sounds within trance.  To truly reflect his diverse taste and musically styles within the genre.. 

He also teamed up with US based Trance DJ,Producer Kate Kory [Tarvali] and launched new brand global Trance Brand,Platform called Hello Trance.

Which helps to promote, showcase all aspects in within the Trance scene via it’s website, www.hellotrance.com and with a global  bi - monthly podcast hosted by both Tom & Katie which also sometimes feature exclusive guest mix dj, trance artists and interviews..

His pure energy & passion for the trance has led him to bookings across the UK & Europe such as touring with ‘Hindsight’ for their ‘Ibizan Heat Tour 2013’ where he played various venues across San Antonio. Another memorable European appearance was for ‘Newstyle Perspective’ Club Night in Zwickau, Germany with Marc Van Gale which was also broadcasted live on the radio.

In 2019, Tom joined forces with good friend Mike Clark, both with a shared passion for Trance and launch a brand new radio show called EQ ‘The Heart Of Things Trance & Progressive’ which aired monthly on local community radio station in Bristol, ‘Bradley Stoke Radio'.

2021, Mike left Bradley Stoke Radio and Tom continued the show for the another year solo, changing the tagline to get ‘Get Uplifted’ showcasing  more on his signature, Uplifting,Tech Trance Sound.. 

In May 2022, Tom Left Bradley Stoke Radio and stopping doing EQ Radio show to focus on other project within music..  


As for the UK Tom has graced the decks at events such as Goodgreef, Delusion, Journey, Lifeline, Transcend, Tranceology, Tangled Up & Elevation Audio to name just a few!

In 2014, Tom launched a new trance night/radio show called ‘Trance Is Here’ with various successful club nights and co-residency for the monthly radio show for 3 years. 

Tom then decided the time was right to part company and focus his time on working on his other productions and dedicate time to working on future bookings and tours.

Tom has secured his first major release on well established label, DMAX which was a collaboration with Eric Zimmer & The Muzik Dealerz called Mind Calling which gained him some major support from various well established names within the scene.

Tom is currently working hard on new solo material, which he looks forward to showcasing in his forthcoming sets...
