Ryan serves an MAF pilot in the Mozambique program, but experienced a very difficult situation two and a half years ago. Ryan was arrested and imprisoned under accusations of supporting insurgent activity, spending four months in prison before being released and eventually exonerated.

Ryan and Annabel and their children have been in the U.S. since September 2023, waiting for the day they can re-enter Mozambique and joyfully serve people in need. We hope that their story of faith, hope, and forgiveness inspires you in your own walk with Jesus.

Fun Facts:
* Out of His Head is a song that features a collaboration between George and Dean Trotter.
* This song is in the key of D minor.
* The lyrics were written on 3rd July 1986, according to an original lyric document.
* The guitar part had been composed a few months previously.
* George was very pleased that Dean was able to write some lyrics to complete the song as the guitar part pleased him.
* Dean's melodic wailings towards the end represents the sirens of police cars.
* The drum solo represents the blows from fisticuffs, boots and truncheons that rain down from all sides upon the victims of police brutality.
* Dean wrote these lyrics very shortly after being shocked and horrified to witness his friend Jack the Frag being brutally arrested and beaten in Exeter High Street in broad daylight at around lunchtime for having a blim of hashish in his pocket.
* Dean himself had been attacked and brutally beaten by police whilst travelling to the unofficial 1986 Stonehenge Festival just a couple of weeks before.
* The previous year, the Stonehenge Festival was prevented from happening by the police.
* That incident became known as The Battle of the Beanfield, and the terrible and unnecessary police brutality was documented in the media worldwide.
* The Levellers wrote a song about the incident on their well known album Levelling the Land.
* A few weeks after the Stonehenge battle, in autumn 1985, George was taken into the back yard of Exeter police station and assaulted by an officer for reporting his bicycle stolen.
* Police brutality was commonplace in England in the 1980s.
* A lot of people in those days referred to the police as “Thatcher’s Gestapo”.
* Fortunately the uk police are far better today than they were in the 1980s.
* Due to many years of cassette deterioration, the quality of this recording is not great.
* We have managed to improve a little on what remained.
* Out of His Head continued to live on as a staple of Rough Terrain’s live set after The Subterraineans had folded.

Sadly, Dean took his own life by suicide at the Clifton suspension bridge, Bristol, in 1994. He was just 29 years old.

Dean had no help at all from the uk medical profession or social services for his mental health, addiction and homelessness. If he had had some professional help he would surely still be here with us today.

Rest in peace, Dean.

I later worked with Tone Kapone & Def Squad(Erick Sermon of EPMD), got better at my craft, and then not long after that.....I was lucky enough to meet the producer who I tried to sound like and emulate the career of, for years up until the moment I met him, Jay Waxx Garfield(hit-men for Bad Boy Entertainment, credits up and down the hip hop industry, alot of work with E1/Koch/Universal Records). it's not everyday you meet the person who is responsible for you doing what you do and inspired you to do more and see how real it is. I worked with him for a couple of years until I took an extended break from music for a few years.

DJ SEALS:
Daniel Seals began his law enforcement career with the Covington Police Department in Covington, Ga., a suburb of metro Atlanta. In less than two years, he was promoted to the Criminal Investigations Division where he was in charge of investigating major felonies to include Murder, Rape, Armed Robbery, Child Pornography, Copper Theft, Identity Theft and Embezzlement in the millions of dollars. Many of his cases have led to other states and foreign countries where he worked with various state and federal law enforcement agencies to apprehend the suspects. Detective Seals has amassed nearly 2000 hours of POST training and is a master of interview/interrogation techniques, a certified Computer Voice Stress Examiner, and a certified Crime Scene Tech as well as serving as point man/entry leader on the Newton County/Covington SWAT team for nearly 10 years.
In 2009, he was tasked to create an Intelligence Division and to direct the entire department toward the Intelligence Led Policing Model of law enforcement. Detective Seals became a graduate of the Alpha Group (a world leader in Intelligence Officer training), set up a secure intelligence database using, among other tools, the Public Engines software suite, including CrimeReports, CommandCentral and TipSoft. Since the inception of that unit, he has received hundreds of training hours with regard to Intelligence, including Intelligence Analysis, Criminal Investigative Analysis, Intelligence Gathering, Terrorism, Security and Integrity, Human Trafficking and Gang Investigations. His intelligence division became a model in the State of Georgia, with agencies from within Georgia, as well as from neighboring states, coming to him for direction for their department. In 2010, Detective Seals was appointed to the Georgia Crime Information Center board as the only Intelligence Officer to ever do so. In 2013, Detective Seals joined Public Engines full time as the Director of Public Safety and Strategy. Seals worked directly with law enforcement agencies across the globe to ensure they have the best tools and training to most effectively utilize the Public Engines product suite. He was also integral in implementing tools such as; Intelligence Sharing and Predictive Technologies.
In 2015, PublicEngines was purchased by Motorola and Seals was named as a Motorola Industry Specialist, where he now leads their Professional Services Division. Seals has trained over 2000 law enforcement officers in nearly all 50 US states and 8 countries. Seals has taught classes on: Gang Investigations, Intelligence Sharing, Social Media Investigations, Child Pornography/Human Trafficking, Intelligence-Led Policing and Predictive Technologies. He has trained on various topics such as; Intelligence Led Policing, Social Media Investigations, and Predictive Policing methodologies. He has been a featured speaker for many organizations including; The Georgia State Intelligence Network, the International Association of Crime Analysts, the FBI National Academy Continuing Education Division, International Association of Chiefs of Police, the 19th Annual Violent Gang Information Sharing Conference in New York, NASA Langley, the Pentagon, the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police, and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.
