In season 9 episode 3 of WPPI, Gary Martin, David Parish and Creative Portrait Photographer Kayla Wiley discuss food, photography, and the source of their art. The discussion starts with Wiley talking about her recent project, which involves taking pictures of her stomach covered in flower and rolling them out with a rolling pin. She mentions that her projects usually come from places of sadness or excitement, which are big emotions that drive her creativity. The conversation then shifts towards food and its influence on art. Wiley mentions that food products are a big part of her life, and David points out that food is important to everyone. The conversation then takes a lighthearted turn as they discuss their recent purchases from online ads, including clothes and a deer cam.
Gary suggests that Wiley should have a tab on her website dedicated to her weird art, which they jokingly name "Wa No Ws" or "Weird Art Shit West." They then talk about some of the weirdest things they have done with food, including covering their hands with it and putting gum in their hair. David mentions Gallagher, a comedian who was popular in the 70s and 80s for smashing things on stage, and Wiley admits to not knowing who he is. The podcast ends with the three of them planning to venture out into Vegas and have some fun.
