The Bevis Frond, el proyecto de Nick Saloman, ha permanecido al margen de los focos mediáticos durante sus casi 40 años de historia. No será por falta de talento. Arrancó allá por 1986 con trabajos que mostraban su lado más psicodélico y disco a disco fue demostrando que, además de un guitarrista espectacular y un gran escritor de canciones, es un músico versátil que también sabe hacer blues, folk, indie o power pop. Todos estos estilos sonarán en este programa y de la mano de una sola banda, The Bevis Frond, que en 2024 es noticia por partida doble; acaba de publicar su último trabajo -el número 25 en su brutal discografía- y nos visitará en breve en la que será su gira de despedida.

"We’ve always been curious about psychedelic rock here at FleaMarket Funk, and have dabbled in it quite a bit, but like any genre, there is so much to learn. That’s what intrigues us. We’re always learning from guys like Edan, who throw a psychedelic night at The Leadbelly in NYC, and from our good buddy Devil Dick, who has put us on to many a fuzzy guitar laden, heavy drum record. We are still bumping the Trap Door Mix from way way back too, it’s a classic and never gets old. Cut Chemist even had an eerie psych-folk mix he snuck in a few years ago. These are ones we can think of off of the top of our head. Enter Glaucoma_106 out of Las Vegas, NV. His series Threw The Looking Glass is a trip that we all need to take. Combining heavy psych rock records, b-boy anthems and hip hop samples, you can tune in, turn on, and drop out with your headphones on (or not).
