Sentencia de Dios al hombre
antes que el día comience:

"Que tu pan no venga a tu mesa
sin el sudor de tu frente.

El compositor se sorprendió cuando le comenté que su obra es muy apreciada por el público mexicano

An Arvo Pärt style piece fed through `saich` on each voice. The output is then run in parallel to Panharmonium (which generates the low end) and Typhoon in a reverb mode with some slight up pitching (to bring in the high).

All of this is mixed in Ableton, then run through secondary reverbs.

The piece is quite slow (40bpm), and you can hear me trying to dial in the right level of slew limiting on the Turing Machine which is opening and closing the saich's slider in 'smart pairs' mode to add some melodic interest.

The four voices in the MIDI are also set to randomly drop about 20% of the notes, the actual source piece is only 32 bars. Each voice swaps it's line with minimal changes between the SATB every 8 bars, each 8 bars is actually just 4 bars repeated once.

The voices are also working in a 1:2:3:4 relationship (not quite a polyrhythm, one of the voices has a sort of strange rhythm, hard to hear in the synth version).

Overall I really like the result, I wasn't careful with tuning since it was just one oscillator (frankly, a poorly calibrated one at that). There's more consistent melodic information in this than I get with just a straight TM-into-Harmonaig style piece. 

Still figuring out Panharm, though.

Un día en que los discípulos de Juan y los fariseos ayunaban, fueron a decirle a Jesús: "¿Por qué tus discípulos no ayunan, como lo hacen los discípulos de Juan y los discípulos de los fariseos?".

Beautiful variations on a very simple theme, originally intended for acoustic piano.
This version recorded on Rhodes, but in the first variation, using an acoustic piano as a reverb chamber - this is indicated in the sheet music, by holding down a left hand chord while playing, with no use of the sustain pedal.
