Common prosperity or common destitution? The drive to war against China must be resolutely opposed. China has made considerable efforts to show the world that its aim is peaceful coexistence and mutual and beneficial development. But the imperialists are incapable of ‘coexisting’ on equal terms in a world populated by free and sovereign peoples. Imperialists need domination in order to maintain their global machinery of wealth extraction, without which their continued existence as a parasitic class is doomed. As their system’s economic crisis gets deeper, their need to regime-change and subjugate China is becoming ever more desperate.

China’s enormous sacrifices during WW2 and its epic contribution to the defeat of fascism is routinely overlooked, as is the wider significance of the war in the east. The Chinese people’s titanic struggle against Japanese imperialism played a vital part in the antifascist victory in WW2. Led by the communists, including revolutionary forces from Korea, this struggle also laid the groundwork for the victory of the Chinese Revolution in 1949, and for a string of other democratic and socialist revolutions that took place in east Asia in the following period.

Jing Yang explains how founder Zhang Yiming has entered "founder mode," dramatically increasing CapEx spending on AI development while ByteDance mysteriously went quiet on the AI leaderboard despite earlier dominance. Moving to venture capital, she unpacks why HongShan Capital has only deployed a quarter of its $9 billion fund raised in 2022, citing the collapse of exit opportunities, new overseas listing regulations from Chinese regulators, and the disappearance of big-ticket growth deals. She then explores the new wave of Chinese AI startups targeting global markets from day one, explaining how censorship and geopolitics force founders to choose between building for China or building for the world—they cannot do both. Finally, Jing Yang breaks down China's non-obvious advantage in humanoid robotics: not manufacturing prowess, but access to advanced manufacturing test beds where robots can be deployed, iterated, and refined at scale—an advantage The U.S. simply cannot match beyond Tesla.

A pivot to the western hemisphere does not, as some wishful thinkers have suggested, reflect an acceptance of China’s rise and the inevitability of a multipolar world order. The latest round of the US-led hybrid war against China revealed just how badly weakened the machinery of imperial coercion has become. In times of global upheaval, the DPRK stands as a powerful beacon of peace, sovereignty and development, guided by its tried and tested socialist leadership.

Korea’s ruling communist party is meeting at a time when the crisis-ridden imperialist camp threatens every sovereign nation with sanctions, sabotage and war in its quest to bring back profitability and restore its fading global dominance. Comrade Kim Jong Un is expected to announce the successes of the last five-year plan and the details of the party’s next one, including the continuation of the country’s house-building and industrial modernisation programmes, and the further development of its nuclear defences.

Greetings to the ninth congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea

The imperialists are preparing the ground for war in the Pacific, but their plans rely on the acquiescence of the region’s people.

Separatist sentiment in Taiwan has seen a marked decline recently, where increasing numbers of workers are waking up to the danger that they are being prepared to be the ‘Ukrainians’ of the east – ie, to be sacrificed on the altar of profit-hungry capital. Their best defence against such a horrific fate is peaceful reunification with China.
