I always love close harmony, think of Debussy or Ravel but in vocals it sounds especially wonderful. I wanted to write something that I could use close harmonies in, so I came up with the idea of a song that harkens back to the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago. This fair is where Tesla was introduced to the world. This song features Caleb Cabiness performing the 6-part harmonies and lead vocal, Mannuel Trabucco on alto sax and Larry Salzman on percussion. The lyrics were written by my daughter Cecilia.

As creations are sometimes works in progress even after publishing, this one's name has been changed to something closer to what I was talking about. Our first new song as Watchglass reunited. It started as a single idea that came to me through pondering another duo, Moon and Aries, who make music, separated by half a planet and yet not separate at all in their vision and shared passion. It grew into a love story, expressed fully in just one verse.  we hope you enjoy!

A brand new set of songs coming along now, freshly made over the recent Aussie winter and spring which will fit well alongside the other oldies but goodies. We will have atmospheric romantic, alternative rock, spooky melancholic and a variety of pop.... all can be embraced by the term indie, I believe.

Watchglass is an unsigned Sydney music outfit that began in 2017 as a four piece band. All were seasoned musicians but for the vocalist, for whom Watchglass was a vessel in which the right ingredients were mixed and made MAGIC happen. She had only ever wanted to be a singer, perhaps in a covers band, had only ever written one song when she was 10 years old, but Watchglass launched her into a full-fledged vocalist and lyrics-writer. Mark (Em) and Gina were profuse in their output,  As well as live -playing regularly, they released at least one album per year. 
The tracks here are from the debut live-recorded album of the original 4-piece and the present. The sound has evolved with the natural inclinations of creatives who want to experiment and try new things. We hope you find something to connect with and enjoy.
