Begun in 2022 in a boarding school bedroom, it took @auben-musique 2 years to complete this 4-track EP, more akin to a mini-album.
Through his ‘Carnet de liaison’ EP, Aubēn shares with us his organic vision of electronic music. He offers us 4 hybrid tracks on the borders between world music, house and electro.

The first track, Palabre, was composed entirely around a vocal recorded randomly in a bar in Toulouse. Combining guitar, bass and analogue synthesizer, it tells a story that everyone can interpret in their own way.
Piano, the single from the EP, is a watery-sounding track. Melancholic and energetic at the same time, it's just as suited to listening at home as it is to a sunset dj set.
Récréafter is a track designed for the morning. Sounds from a playground, frenetic percussion recorded in the of Angoulême's SMAC La NEF, and a final melody that feels like a gentle morning sun on the face.
The EP closes with Magma, a nostalgic musical odyssey that transports us between Spain and outer space, making us want to listen to this singular EP again.

Aubēn wanted to propose a different project, not working alone in his studio but rather creating a collaborative EP where each artist brings his or her own touch. This way of working offers original and unique music.
Thanks to the various musicians from Angoulēme and elsewhere who took part and without whom this EP would not have been what it is.

French producer Saint Esprit steps up for a stunning reinterpretation of Aubēn’s original ‘Palabre’, released through Calzone Records on October 10, 2025. The remix transforms the track from a gentle dialogue between guitar and synths into a full-blown Psytech voyage, hypnotic and expansive in both sound and spirit.

Where the original played like an intimate conversation, Saint Esprit’s version opens that exchange into the cosmos. The remix glides through layers of deep, driving rhythm and ethereal atmosphere, fusing organic tones with pulsating techno power. The groove builds slowly, evolving through intricate percussion, evolving bass patterns and swirling melodic phrases that pull the listener into a trance-like state.

Saint Esprit’s approach feels deliberate and cinematic. Every texture, every modulation serves a purpose, creating movement that feels alive. The result is a sound that sits perfectly between underground Psytech and melodic techno, equally at home in dark basements or open-air festival sets. The emotional core of Aubēn’s original remains, but it is reborn here as something larger, a dancefloor journey that feels both spiritual and physical.

Based between Providence and Paris, Saint Esprit has developed a reputation for crafting immersive and emotionally charged productions that blur the lines between electronic structure and organic flow. His work often explores dualities: light and shadow, texture and rhythm, motion and stillness. That duality is at the heart of this remix, where the warmth of live guitar meets the hypnotic pulse of techno.
