Believers Authority Andrew Wommack Pdf 13: How to Win the Spiritual Battle

In this article, we will look at chapter 13 of Andrew Wommack's book "The Believer's Authority" and learn some powerful truths and strategies on how to win the spiritual battle.

What is the spiritual battle?

The spiritual battle is the conflict between God and Satan, between good and evil, between light and darkness, that affects every aspect of our lives. The apostle Paul said in Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Satan is the god of this world who has blinded the minds of the unbelievers and deceived the believers into thinking that they are powerless and defeated. He has also unleashed his forces of evil to steal, kill, and destroy everything that God has created and loves. He is our adversary who goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (2 Cor. 4:4; John 10:10; 1 Pet. 5:8).

What is our authority in Christ?

Our authority in Christ is the right and power that God has given to us as His children to exercise His dominion and will on the earth. Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Jesus defeated Satan and his kingdom on the cross and rose from the dead with all authority in heaven and on earth. He then delegated His authority to us as His body and commissioned us to go and make disciples of all nations. This means that we have the authority to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, and bind and loose whatever is bound or loosed in heaven (Matt. 28:18-20; 16:19; 18:18).

How do we win the spiritual battle?

We win the spiritual battle by using our authority in Christ to resist the devil and his attacks and enforce God's victory over him. We also win by renewing our minds with God's word and walking by faith and not by sight. Here are some steps that Andrew Wommack suggests in his book:


Recognize that you are in a spiritual battle and that you have an enemy who wants to destroy you.
Realize that you have authority in Christ over all the power of the enemy and that nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Resist the devil by submitting to God and standing firm on His word. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Rebuke the devil by speaking God's word with authority and commanding him to leave in Jesus' name. Mark 11:23 says, "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."
Rejoice in the Lord by praising Him for His goodness and faithfulness. Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say,
Rejoice."
