Starting my musical journey with Jean Michel Jarre, Aphex Twin, Autechre, B12, Future Sound of London. Then I found Stu Allen on Key103 and all those early D&B mixtapes from Ratty, Top Buzz, Bukem etc. Started mixing and scratching around 1990-1, bought up most of the Action Records (Preston) vinyl every payday! Then I found Aural Imbalance's Different Perspective CD. Kind of went off the beaten track for a decade hunting down netlabels and hip-hop beat tapes, now I'm back mixing D&B and loving it!
I still mix on my old Technics 1210s allbeit through Traktor these days, but I still don't know how to use it properly so if you hear the odd mishap in my mix, it's because I don't use any of Traktor's mix aids, still beatmatch mostly by ear and what you get is just me on a pair of decks and a cheap mixer!

Joel the Mole is a NY based composer , film-maker, and artist. He makes music for his own selfish delights, but hopes you enjoy it too.
Joel is compelled to make music of frequent change, so if you like a steady groove, you may not be so happy here. He collaborates nicely, usually with friends like the amazing Carlos Vivanco (Like Wow, Decibel, Andromeda Crash),
mega-bassist Keith Macksoud (Present),
David Bond Engelhard on benevolent battery, 
double bassist John Convertino, and sometimes with fellow Westchester Conservatory alumnus Matt Lamborn on guitars. 
Joel plays guitars, piano, keyboards, the "arachnid bass", and other toys. The music is often radicalized during his editing process.

British indie band since starting school in 1998. Since forming the band we actually learnt how to play some instruments and now you can hear the results via the gift of the electromagnetic spectrum. Adam plays bass and synths, vv plays guitar. Both of us propel thoughts from diaphragm to microphone depending on how the mood takes us. Three albums already exist in the digital cosmos, and "Generation Ostrich" joins them in early 2021. Oh yes.
