I can be heard screaming obscenities picked up by the drum mics toward the end of the track at about 17:24 cause my 2nd floor tom channel quit working during recording, I left it in cause it is an immediate truth and in the spirit of true improvisation you can hear a change in the direction of my playing, I almost stopped! but I was so close to the end I decided to keep going and I'm happy I did. ~DW

Strange Cadence is LA-based multidisciplinary artist Elaina Morgan. She spent the last decade in New York City, making her way through various hubs of the cultural underground, amassing an eclectic collection rooted in all manner of global rhythms and queer-birthed genres like disco and house. She strives for nights like those of legendary parties past where an experience was created communally and love was, in fact, the message.

She has a monthly radio show as part of the KCHUNG Public project, broadcasting live from the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA every first Friday from 11-1 PST.
