Pour cet épisode 169 j’appelle Axel Carion. Je profite d’une escale de retour en France où il doit attendre son avion à Atlanta pour un récit “à chaud” de cette nouvelle aventure. Après 26 jours d’une expédition à VTT hors-normes, l’aventurier Axel Carion est parvenu, en compagnie de Grégory Girard, à relier le Canada au Mexique en suivant le parcours de la Continental Divide américaine sur près de 4400 km. Cette expérience en duo a été extraordinaire à tout point de vue. Greg a su faire preuve d’une résilience rare pour enchaîner ces journées intenses et supporter la rigueur de ce parcours exigeant. Après sa traversée en solitaire des USA en 2024, accomplir un tel défi XXL en duo apporte à Axel un enrichissement bien plus grand, car comme il le déclare :« seul on va vite, ensemble on va plus loin ».


La Great Divide Route est la plus longue route cyclable hors-pavé du monde. Elle part de Banff (Canada), traverse les provinces canadiennes de l'Alberta et de la Colombie-Britannique, ainsi que les États-Unis du Montana, de l'Idaho, du Wyoming, du Colorado et du Nouveau-Mexique, pour arriver à Antelope Wells

Evan has played live at legendary venues like London’s Shepherds Bush Empire -supporting Pulp during the Common People tour at their request-, or the old London Astoria.
