Ayşem Sunal Savaşkurt: Ankara Devlet Konservatuvarı’nda bale eğitiminden sonra 1990 yılında Belçika Kraliyet Balesi’nde kariyerine başladı. İlk temsili 'Giselle'de dünya çapında övgüler aldı ve başdansçı olarak dünyaca ünlü bale topluluklarında, dünyanın dört bir yanındaki önemli sanat merkezlerinde dans etti, önemli koreograflarla birebir çalıştı. Dünyanın en iyi balerinleri arasında sayılan, pekçok ödüle layık görülen Savaşkurt, 2006 yılından itibaren Ankara ve İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi’nde başdansçı olarak görev aldı. Halen İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi’nde bale eğitmenliği ve repetitörlüğü yapıyor, ayrıca Bale Başkoreografı görevini sürdürüyor.

Sanat ve kültür tarihçisi Murat Katoğlu’dan Türkiye’nin operayla tanışmasını dinleyin.

NEDEN MURAT KATOĞLU?
Ankara Üniversitesi’nde sanat tarihi, tiyatro, kültür tarihi alanlarında öğretim görevlisi olarak çalıştı, TRT’den Ankara ve İzmir belediyelerine çeşitli kamu kuruluşlarında müşavir olarak çalıştı, Kültür Bakanlığı’nda Eski Eserler ve Müzeler Genel Müdürlüğü yaptı. Dergi ve gazetelerde sanat ve kültür konularında yazıları, araştırmaları yayınlandı. Süreyya Operası ve Tarih Edebiyat Sanat Kütüphanesi’nin kuruluş çalışmalarını yürüttü. “Türkiye’de Opera’nın Kuruluş Öyküsü” başta olmak üzere çok sayıda kitap yazdı.
