My Friend

I wrote this song almost twenty years ago. It was actually a piano-only song for which I also wrote the lyrics.
Now I've rediscovered the song and have added to and expanded it in many ways. As this is an instrumental song, the lyrics are no longer used here. 
But the theme at the time was about coming to terms with a very disappointing friendship, which in retrospect was never a real one.
For many years, I considered someone to be my close friend who only used and manipulated me the whole time. Unfortunately, I only realised this very late on. I wrote the original version of this song back then to deal with the disappointment and anger about it.
But this is supposed to be a plea FOR friendship, not against it. I have had to endure a real tragedy this year and have only been able to overcome it with the help of true friends who stood by me in times of great need and helplessness and were there for me when I needed it most - thank you!

In college he linked up Zac Martin a talented vocal artist and together they decided to create the group Stylz~Flo doing a dozen of tracks including the now popular She Plays Me Like Nintendo. As time past Martin moved to New York and Juan continued to perform in the Manchester area as the artist Complex. In 2015 Juan decided to change his name from Complex (partly to separate himself from the Hip Hop company of the same name) to the now recognizable name Homie Juan Kenobie. Juan is mainly known as a freestyle artist at the now popular Manchester Rap Night Manchester and continue to push the limits of Hip Hop and Nerd-Core music.
