BIGMOO Live at Oceanbeat Ibiza 2024 (House & EDM Party Mix)

Well, this is the episode that nearly never was - repeated tech problems scuppered the live broadcast and I had to abandon it, which was highly annoying… but I managed to record my bit properly the next day. My hour was actually more like 45 mins - a whistle stop tour of worldwide grooves, some mighty funky shizzle and some lovely disco gems to finish. Glad to have got this one down eventually! 

In hour two, after welcoming one half of ‘Bangers & Mash’ My Mate Kate a few weeks back, it was time for the other half, Gentleman George! George and Kate spent this summer bringing silliness, mashups and fun vibes to festivals like Wilderness, Secret Garden Party and Glastonbury, and George kindly put this mix together showcasing a wide range of disco sounds across 75 minutes. Somehow, against all the odds, CheapShow has finally won something! Paul & Eli are in high spirits this week as they celebrate their recent “Golden Lobes” podcast awards win! It was a fantastic moment that was only 10 years in the making. This success probably won’t go to their heads. At all. It’s a bit of a wordy episode this week, as Paul is supplying two books for his “Page Turners” segment. His charity shop discoveries involve one book based on the kids TV show “Bangers & Mash”, and the other is a story puzzle book from the legendary “Usbourne Publishing”. The Cheap Chaps dive into them both to learn more, and if you are lucky, you’ll get some story time action from Eli himself! Finally, Gannon pulls out another “Golden Game” to play. For this edition, he’s brought along an electronic game based on the popular 1980s ITV game show “Name That Tune”. Sadly, as in most episodes, Eli will find a way to ruin the fun. Whether that’s by pretending to be a Scouser or by simply opening his mouth and letting the madness spill out. No matter how dumb or gross this week’s podcast is, remember it won a ruddy award! Unbelievable!

TRANCE4M is a lifestyle brand based in Singapore that focuses on building a community around the trance and progressive music scene. Its early days stemmed back to 2018 when Last One Standing's Founder, Daniel, who is a huge enthusiast in the scene, surfaced the idea of starting a community with the ultimate goal of creating meaningful and memorable event experiences, and bringing about more awareness to the trance & progressive music scene.

Started humbly as an online community on Facebook, which served as a platform for sharing the latest music releases, events and other contents with like-minded individuals, it grew virally and has since attracted people from all walks of life, consisting of not just members from Singapore, but also fellow regional ravers from Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania.

Today, TRANCE4M has successfully conceptualised and ran multiple events in the trance & progressive space. Best known for their iconic #Beyond138 local nights and their regular Euphoria live radio showcase, they have since groomed and built a team of local resident talents that has been regularly performing in these events.

As of today, TRANCE4M has worked with numerous world-class event venues such as Zouk, Yang, iKi, Canvas, Bar Rouge and many more.

A “Nixie”, according to Scandinavian folklore, is a shapeshifting water spirit. Disguised as human, Nixie’s were known for playing enchanting music to lure people into their lakes, streams and waterfalls where they would proceed to drown them. 

NIXIE is an enchanting character who fancies the faster hypnotic flavours, as well as the whomp and chunk in all things bass, whilst luring in her audience with the perfect slice of cheese that you just can’t seem to pass up on. Encapsulating those that she dances with, NIXIE’s loving and playful energy fuses her to that relationship formed with those sharing the experience. She is brave and unique in her approach to entertaining her environments and her specialities come in many forms of delicious bass, drum & bass and techno. 

NIXIE has been asked to close many a festival, bringing a big emotional moment to both large and intimate audiences like Dragon Dreaming Festival, Free Range, Convergence and Roots. Moving hearts and hips is her strong suit and she has become a well loved local act at doofs and underground parties in both NSW and interstate including; Chinese Laundry, Burning Seed, Church of Techno, Bass Camp, Art Valley, Soul Synthesis, Calyx & more. 

Along with this she is well-known for her project ‘DOUBLE DIP’, partnering in crime with ‘FUNCLE’, these two have headlined several events in NSW the past year and are local legends to the lineup of festivals like Dragon Dreaming Festival and Art Valley.

London-based DJ, producer and radio host Even Funkier weaves together Disco, Funk, House, Soul, Boogie, Jazz, Hip Hop and Global delights to create something fresh, irresistibly funky and downright groovy. He plays tunes from across the decades, genres and BPMs, mixing up hidden gems with tried and tested favourites, with a focus on sweet, sweet Disco music brought right up to date for modern dancefloors.

As a DJ he’s taken his trademark rollercoaster genre-fluid sets to locations including Glastonbury, ADE and Westival, playing parties for Midnight Riot, Good Custard, Project Bango, Pineapple Police Horse and DiscNoTheque. And as a producer he’s released on over 20 labels labels including Tropical Disco, Hot Digits, Mango Sounds, The Disco Express, Midnight Riot and TheBasement Discos.
