The Time Warrior game is a beat 'em up style game created during the Beginner's Game Jam 2025 on itch.io. (an almost playable version here: https://ilikestuf.itch.io/time-warrior) The art style and gameplay is very similar to Castle Crashers where you defeat rooms full of enemies and a boss fight at the end of each level. 

You are a warrior from another planet in the future, you crash landed on Earth and destroyed your ship! You found a time machine nearby, but it malfunctions when you attempt to go back to when you still had your ship and sends you back in time all the way to Ancient Egypt. The only way to get back to where you belong is to travel through the portals that open up after each boss is defeated. The final boss is a huge mech boss that used your broken ship parts as upgrades, you need to defeat that boss in order to rebuild your ship and get back home.
