Having an artist with such artistic projection is a true cultural privilege in our Brazilian electronic scene, a conceptual heritage, where making music to make a name for itself is definitely far from the creative process of DJ and producer BLANCAh, considered today one of the great references for the new generations of the South American scene. Making an album is something that very few producers have ventured into in a hedonistic and uncertain post-pandemic world, and she presents her third in 10 years under the alter ego BLANCAh. An album requires a certain capacity and depth of sound structure that escapes the minds of those who live by copy and paste, which is why it is something that few set out to create.

Designing tracks that speak to each other is a creative process that lasts for months, like a web that is built thread by thread until it forms a broad and connected structure. This process requires thinking about elements in an abstract way and applying them to each song to create a unique sound sense. This is what BLANCAh does in her new studio album, where she is partly inspired by feelings of anguish over her own musical evolution, until she finds the freedom to make music for herself, without having to look for references in markets that today seem to live in the past.

Welcome to the episode 66 of ZZGO Radio!

June was overall fairly quiet on my end, mostly spent planning some events in July.  On July 5th I'm playing at a daytime, family friendly event at a farm just east of San Antonio.  The weekend after that on July 12, my Flow ATX project is teaming up with B.A.E.S.H.I.P. out of San Antonio for an afterhours warehouse party.  Tickets for those events are available via the link in my Instagram bio.  I also have a third event in late July I'm planning along with DJ Makoom that's invitation only, so hit me up if you are interested in that.

Lastly, I finally finished sealing all the wood on my 20 foot projection mapped dome that I built which means I can finally (!) set it up in my back yard to really dial in the next generation of visuals for it.  I have a ton of ideas to try out, so please wish me luck as I get that set up and start experimenting!
