TSOV258. I always wanted to play The Vat but never inquired about it for a lot of reasons, mostly because I am shy about such things. After some years, my opportunity came on 18 July 2025 and it was a lot of fun. People were very kind to me and I had good conversation. It had been a difficult week for me and some friends really came through in the clutch. I still don't think they know about that, but I am very grateful. You three are absolute treasures.

We welcome Neptis back to Bonzai Records with the superb, The Elephant which follows his very well-received label debut Energize. Neptis, the alias of Belgian DJ and producer Sonny De Cock aka Haise, has an impressive background with releases on BIP Records. His passion for music began in his childhood, mixing tracks on cassette players before moving on to turntables and hosting events. Collaborating with top DJs like Jan Vervloet and Mark With A K, he naturally progressed to producing his own music. Now, as Neptis, hes bringing his unique techno sound to the world and were delighted to have him back once again. The sole track on the release, The Elephant, whips up a storm. A peak-time techno anthem, built for massive arenas, the track is driven by relentless, thumping kick drums and crisp, shimmering hi-hats that cut through the mix. Hypnotic synth pulses weave an irresistible groove, while cool vocal shots add intrigue. The break unveils a striking melodic synth hook, gradually fading in as filters open and contrasted with dark bass tones before swelling into an electrifying climax and slamming back into the pounding groove. The perfect weapon designed to ignite the dancefloor.

Cruel Intentions (Peter van der Schaaf) is a hardcore project with Dutch/Italian roots. Like many kids Peter got infected with hardcore rave music in the early 90’s. 

In 1998 a sent out mixtape to organisation “Dutch Rave” was his first step in the hardcore scene under his Spete moniker.

Around the year 2000 he was working at the infamous Mid-town records shop & design and started investing in studio equipment. Producing was the next logical step and with his best friend he started working on music day and night. 

In 2002 their hard studio work led to several successful releases after signing on Traxtorm sublabel G-net. Performances across Europe followed with as Highlights; A Nightmare in Rotterdam, Club Number One, Sportpaleis Antwerp and a monthly residency in Italy.

In 2008 the road led to Dubai where Peter finally started working on Cruel Intentions. 
(a project name actually chosen in 2001 inspired by the movie banner hanging in his classroom at Design Academy) 

The year is 2014, Cruel Intentions took his time to perfect the beat and is here to reclaim his place in the hardcore scene.
