Back in 2011. It was my first mix on two turntables with my friend Dj Yaaman. So this is about how I started to record my mixes:) We printed CDs and handed them out to our friends at the "Hot Funky Freestyle" Hip-Hop Festival in Donetsk. Many dancers were surprised that there were not beats but Disco/Funk music. This mix was and still is being talked about - Legendary! Uploaded here! Enjoy it!

Joel, Jeremy, Alican, and Antonio are pilots. The four Tegel Boys. The flight is fancy and it’s a foolhardy insistence that a parallel world still exists. First-class dreams, tacky and louche, vinyl seats, sticky cocktails, giddy highs, and lusty stomp. Polymath rock ‘n’ roll electronics that work a little less obviously, but feel a whole lot better. The group came together to bring you there. The Tegel Boys make modern disco body music, in- flight acid house, airport-blues-boogie, hi-fi dada-rap for those tuned-in psychic travelers. A locomotive and leaden groove onboard, a wink to the frequent flyers, a fountain of sample-delic digger knowledge and circus hijinks spill out on the active runway where the boys navigate it to cruising altitude. They are an amalgamation of talent bubbling forth from the Berlin underground channeling parallel lives in NYC-Loft-

 Manchester-Hacienda-Southside-Philly- Berghain-Berlin-Konono-Kinshasa-Acid-Istanbul and every other boogie-scorched molecule of human hip- shake. Obstinate, modern, deeply soulful and playful dance music from the family
The members of the Tegel Boys are all seasoned club veterans with an eye on the underground, but with a level of experience and sophistication for bringing music to any room and audience. Joel Black (Hazy Pockets) can be found making noise as resident DJ at the infamous Kater Blau club in Berlin, while booking and hosting notorious party series as far-flung as Tbilisi, Georgia, Zermatt Switzerland, and beyond with founding contributions and regular participation at the Garbicz Festival and PEOPLE Festival among others. Producer Jeremy Black is a prolific songwriter, studio-magician and producer with writing and collaborations spanning all modern genres (White Denim/ FJAAK) Included in the group are Turkish- psychedelic-rock legend, drummer and percussionist Alican Tezer (Insanlar, Ayyuka, etc.) and local guitar phenom and gourmand, Antonio Rilling. This lineup, and a mix of acoustic and electronic elements lends the Tegel Boys a unique ability to tune their show to specific club, party, and event stages. They lend their music and organizing support to local and international causes for equality and radical inclusion in the music scene. In addition to the live-band and deejaying activity the members are active prolifically as bookers, talent- buyers, and music-directors for numerous clubs, hotels, and gastronomic concerns worldwide.



Love ‘Em & Lear ‘Em [Original] A sultry strut out of the gates, Love ‘Em & Lear ‘Em demonstrates the Tegel Boys effortless sample-happy disco instincts, delivering a steady percussive-driver of a track, with inescapable groove. Head-bopping, shuffle percussion, and bass throb are expertly laid down with teasing robo-girl vocals flying in and around the mix, eventually building to muscular downtown-NYC-post-punk breakdown, making this a proper weapon in the right DJ-hands. The Franz Matthews remix is a decidedly shinier, crisper, laser-precision take on the track, featuring a souped-up hypnotic bassline, four on the floor drum mechanics, and a hefty dose of wild-safari escapades added to the core movement. Funky 80s synth-stabs and Red Axes kraut guitar jump on the train and take it to new heights.

During the pandemic, Groovescooter & 2SER ran a competition for producers and bands to send in their best instrumental tracks for the chance to have Kylie Auldist provide her world-renowned vocals. Out of the entries we narrowed it down to two great productions, one by the Sydney duo LINCOLN ROOM and the other by production pairing SKINNY DIPP. Kylie then wrote lyrics, top lines and recorded her vocals, before the tracks' producers went to work on final mixes. ALL SALES PROCEEDS DONATED TO 2SER to help keep this great radio station on air so they can continue to support Australian music.

Spin City: 'Best Radio Show'  - Only Good Vibes Music Awards 2021

Hailing from Scotland, Goz has been DJ’ing for over 25 years and in that time has embraced a number of genres from house, hip hop and soul to disco and funk. In the early 1990s he was introduced to the art of mixing vinyl records and from that point forwards, Goz immersed himself in the art of beat matching and building sets - crafting his unique style throughout the 1990s where he would play local parties and get-togethers and, of course  - the all-important pre and post-night out shenanigans.  

After taking a break from DJ’ing in the early 2000s, Goz picked up the reins once again in 2014 and got back to doing what he loves most. Goz has always had an exceptionally diverse taste in music, although he naturally gravitated towards disco, soul, funk and hip-hop genres. 

Goz’s passion for music shines through in his sets, which are carefully curated and crafted to take you on a journey that always leaves you craving more. As one of the most renowned specialists in slow-mo and laid back grooves, when Goz decides to drop down the gears he creates a ‘soundscape’ experience few DJs on the scene can achieve. Similarly, when the disco juices are flowing, and the BPM is cranked up it’s a roller coaster ride and swirling haze of funky basslines, heavenly string arrangements, Afro beats and soulful smokiness. 

As host / show runner of the hugely successful Spin City which airs on New York’s number one House Music Station, www.myhouseradio.fm for a number of years now, Goz has built an extensive and strong follower base who regularly tune in to the two hour show which airs every Sunday at 7pm GMT (2pm NYC). The format of Spin City is a certified winner - with Goz normally presenting the first hour of the show followed by a special guest mix each week. On occasion, Goz will take the whole two hours to treat listeners to prime selections of new, old and classic tracks.  Some of the biggest names on the disco and nu-disco scene have appeared on the show, which has also secured talents such as John Le Visiteur, IMFROMULL, DJ Wahine and Queen & Disco for bi-monthly and quarterly residency spots. Goz also has a keen eye for up-and-coming DJs and producers - spotting undiscovered talent early and giving them a platform to showcase their skills.

During the summer of 2019, Goz teamed up with a group of like-minded DJs and producers to form a new promotion - Black Light Disco. The first Black Light Disco event in June 2019 was an enormous success and has gone on to land its own radio show which also airs on MyHouse Radio FM every Monday from 7pm - 9pm GMT (2pm - 4pm NYC). Since the show started in January 2020, its reputation has grown considerably and BLD now attracts some of the biggest names on the disco and nu-disco scene for guest spots. In May 2020, Black Light Disco formed a partnership with the excellent Samosa Records and Daje Funk Records to present a monthly residency on the MyHouse Radio platform, with label head honchos Les Inferno and De Gama taking over the show for the whole two hours. Airing on the second Monday of each month, The Samosa Funk show is already taking the disco world by storm -the partnership with BLD really taking things to the next level for the promotion. Going forward, Black Light Disco has a number of live events planned, so watch this space for the most up-to-date news on where one of Black Light Disco’s now famous nights will drop next!

Now based in Berlin, she's been collecting records for over 20 years, with a special interest in the obscure, forgotten and otherworldly. Deeply rooted in music from the 80s/90s, her eclectic sets push a wide spectrum; an in-your-face lesson in geography and history, hyperactively excavated from the furthest of corners.
And the further she pushes those corners, the further they go. As comfortable with the swamp-like psychedelia of Dub as with the enlightening beam of 80’s Christian Boogie, her eclectic selections clash and contrast each other, albeit with an attention to detail and sweetness that somehow glues it all together. Mostly interested in obscure, forgotten, unusual sounds from 80s/90s, but most things that make me wiggle around are pretty ok. Breezy, chewy, bouncing, danceable sounds in particular. I especially like music that I can't describe well.
