Lundi 17 novembre, 500 personnes ont surgi au petit matin pour bloquer l'usine de BASF à Saint-Aubin-lès-Elbeuf, en Normandie. BASF, c'est l'un des quatre plus gros producteurs de pesticides au monde ! 

Le site normand n'a pas été choisi au hasard. Des substances actives interdites dans l'agriculture française sont produits sur le site. C'est le cas du Fipronil, une substance interdite en France à cause de sa toxicité. Pourtant, le Fipronil continu d'être exporté "principalement aux marchés brésiliens (canne à sucre, soja), nord-américain (termites), japonais (riz) et européens", peut-on lire sur la page d'accueil du site internet de l'usine normande. C'est ce qu'on appelle le "colonialisme chimique". Une pratique dénoncé par les organisateurices : la confédération paysanne, la via campesina, les faucheuses et faucheurs volontaires, cancer colère, le collectif de soutien aux victimes des pesticides de l'ouest et les soulèvements de la terre.

After a first release in spring, Discotte is back with a second pack of edits!

Kicking things off with an edit of Lilith – Nenèm (Tiño Dub Mix). The original has been in rotation for quite a long time in the diggers’ universe, but this version brings some freshness with a Dub Mix that could easily have been the original B-side when it was released back in 1993! Tiño reshapes the track by cutting some parts, extending others, adding some percussion, and “dubifying” the vocals. And just like that, the Dub Mix is born!

Next up is an obscure track by Johnny Clegg & Savuka called Siyayilanda, entirely rearranged and extended by Vitamin J. Originally released in 1988, this version has all the characteristics of a production from that era: a simple but powerful bassline, sharp drums, and hypnotic vocals — all enhanced by Vitamin J’s fine work.

And finally, we head back to Brazil with Bebeto – Oasis (Baume Edit). Our friend Baume blesses us with a delicate and beautifully produced edit of this Brazilian gem by Bebeto. The work behind it is so smooth it’s barely perceptible. Rewarped and rearranged, “Oasis” is already cemented as a perfect emotional party-starter. The drums and percussion are spot-on, bringing the beautiful voice of Bebeto to the forefront.

Donz Diego sculpte le son comme s'il tournait sur l’asphalte : avec feu, finesse et liberté. Danseur, graphiste, vidéaste et illustrateur, il trace aujourd’hui sa route dans les textures sonores analogiques et les visuels vibrants. Musicien de l’ombre et alchimiste du beat, il fonde Super Funk Villains en 2020, laboratoire de ses métamorphoses. Après l’odyssée instrumentale "Bernie Journey" en 2024, il revient en juin 2025 avec le single "27", funky bijou porté par la voix suave de Marina Santos. Fabrice, also known as Fab From Toulouse, was born in the south of France. Legend has it that he came into the world with a vinyl record in his hands. Raised by a disco-loving father and a funk-passionate mother, he discovered the art of mixing at an early age and naturally gravitated toward the turntables.

In the early 2000s, he adopted the stage name Fab From Toulouse and began electrifying local clubs with joyful and captivating tech-house. His passion for analog machines and music composition brought him closer to his friend GUTS, who encouraged and trained him in musical writing. With his trusted MPC 4000 and home studio, Fab developed a sound universe oscillating between Afro-house and Tech-house, where groove and warmth meet.

His work quickly caught the attention of numerous labels, including F#cklite, Chupa Records, Heavenly Sweetness, Deep Bear Recordings, Material Series, Mr Carter, Like That Underground, MoBlack Records, Boxon Records, United Music Records, Go Deeva Records, Big Mama House Records, and many more.

In 2016, he released his first techno EP on the F#cklite label, marking a key milestone in his career. In 2020, he unveiled his debut solo album, Destination, conceived and produced in his home studio: an ambitious project that confirmed his ability to create a coherent musical narrative, blending tech-house, techno, and analog textures. That same year, he also delivered a remix of Everybody Wants to Be a Star by GUTS, released on the Heavenly Sweetness label.
