THE MARQUIS IS DEAD - I AM THE BLADE AND THE WOUND EP [Brutal Forms]

The "Uncanny Valleys" compilation series draws inspiration from the theory introduced by Japanese roboticist Mori Masahiro in 1970. This theory explores the paradoxical perception of similarities between robots and humans. This concept is visually represented in our artwork, where human and non-human elements are blended using collage techniques, thereby blurring the line that differentiates humans and robots.

Maze DK - Burn Out [Brutal Forms]

A year and a half after the release of the eponymous LP UZHUR on Nahal Recordings (label founded by Paul Régimbeau aka Mondkopf and Frederic D. Oberland - Oiseaux-Tempête, Le Rêveil des tropiques...), UZHUR will release a 5-track EP entitled APHASIA on Italian label Brutal Forms in November 2024.
The EP, recorded in their Parisian studio early 2024, opens up new horizons, both more rhythmic and more melodic. In contrast to the extreme deconstruction of the album, this EP features more structured pieces, in line with the band's dark, post-industrial aesthetic. Opening with FINAL, a French-spoken explosive blast, the record is gradually tinged with melancholy and rage in murky magma, ending with a long, abstract 11-minute piece, a vision of a decaying civilisation.

Originally majored menswear at an arts university. After graduating, moved to Japan, where he began to seriously pursue photography. Over time, his artistic journey evolved, leading him to explore music, making him a multi-disciplinary artist today. Inyoung Son’s music bears a strong resemblance to his photography. Barkosina is a performance & music artist, and half of Years of Denial. Her sets oscillate in-between Ambient and Rhythmic noise, Industrial Techno & Broken Beat, combining heavy bass, and dynamic kicks with vocals and noise. 

She recorded a mix titled “The Dead Heart” a sonic journey that explores themes of resilience and vulnerability. Its ritualistic ambient and rhytmic noise sounds create an atmosphere that reflects the nuances of suffering and pain. Everyone carries scars, and each scar tells a story. Sirap - Coded Catastrophe EP [Brutal Forms]

Mother began mixing industrial techno three years ago in the heart of Parisian LGBT nightlife, shaping her sound within the hard industrial Monasterio movement.
In recent months, she has drastically lowered her BPM to align with her first productions, soon to be released on @revokrecords: 4 tracks delivering an anguishing urge to dance, as if to exorcise the madness of a world falling apart. This set attempts to reconcile her new and earlier influences, merging the hard kicks of Eastern Europe with the organic percussions and trippy atmospheres of the original scene.
The name Mother came naturally: whispered in the clubs where she often played, until it simply became part of her. What was once a nickname became her identity.
Mother is also the founder and resident of the FLINTA collective @techno_fatale.

Eve Schwarz and Cody Lobbestael’s paths crossed coincidentally due to common friends in the electronic realm and a similar sonic background and vision. Spontaneously the idea of a collaboration emerged as both sides at that time felt a little stuck in their creative process yet inspired by the other one’s approach. Supplied with VELDT’s live-recorded analogue drum loops, Eve started snipping and layering and giving four different sessions the shape of a track and a unique identity balancing industrial power with club characteristics. The reference to the classical ballet terms in title and track IDs is the result of the quite unknown David Lynch short film “Ballerina” running in the background during the studio works - which created, despite an obviously harsh contrast, still a deeply sensual harmony and autonomous symbiosis as an audio-visual experience.

The release also features contributions from artists and remixers such as Dolgener, Tomohiko Sagae, Nemrac, and Cranya.

Active in the electronic scene since 2014, I started my journey in an Italian duo, and then in 2023 I started my solo project under the name of SKUMRING, founder of the Label Brutal Forms.
My sound is a journey through underground vibrations, intertwining hypnotic techno, experimental ambient and deep groove. My sound research is based on the use of analog synthesizers and modular systems, tools that allow me to build unique and immersive soundscapes.

Over the years I had the opportunity to bring my music to some of the most iconic clubs and radios of the European electronic scene, including: Tresor (Berlin)  HÖR (Berlin) Urban Spree (Berlin) HOM (Berlin) Operator Radio (Rotterdam) Kiosk Radio (Brussels) … and other clubs and radios around Europe.I have released productions on different labels in Various Artists collections, and my goal is to always push the boundaries of sound, exploring new sonic dimensions.
