Promotext: Baikal Nomads presents a compelling organic house release by Latyshev which also features remixes from Lama's Dream, Matt Jah and Ksky.

Based in Tulum, Baikal Nomads is a record label that has championed artists ranging from Zuma Dionys to Guy Maayan, and this is the first time Latyshev has released original music via the imprint.

Latyshev is a Spanish artist who is returning to Baikal Nomads after featuring a remix on the record label in 2020, and this release features two of his original tracks. He is also the label owner of Alae Records, which shares his enchanting style that blends ethnic instruments and organic percussion with uplifting synths.

Providing a remix, Lama's Dream is a talented musician who blends live instrumentation with sequenced percussion to create majestic tracks with spellbinding atmosphere. He has existing links to Latyshev via releasing on his label Alae Records, but has also previously featured on Baikal Nomads.

Also on remix duty, Matt Jah is a nomadic Italian producer who is well known to Baikal Nomads fans for his downtempo style with Arabic influence and trippy atmosphere. He has also featured his sun-drenched sound on other imprints including IONO LOUNGE and Tropical Twista Records.

Last of the remixes comes from Ksky who is a leftfield artist whose melodic style has analogue sounds and deep atmosphere sequenced into downtempo grooves. He has released on labels ranging from Deepology to his own imprint KSKY TRX.

The releases title track "Danza del Sol" opens proceedings with South American vocals and a panpipe layered with the warmth of swelling pads and shuffling percussion.

"Caballos & Arena" is second of the original tracks, and it's got an indie dance groove with chanting vocal textures layered with haunting strings and modulating synth lines.

Lama's Dream's remix of Danza del Sol thickens the percussion and adds a warped bassline that adds to the psychedelic vibe of his downbeat groove.

Matt Jah provides an upbeat version of Danza del Sol with extra percussion and makes the vocal a more prominent feature, while also adding new synths and acoustic guitar.

Ksky closes the release with an atmospheric remix of Danza del Sol that strips back the percussion and panpipes from the original to add dreamy synth pads and gamelan style melody.

DJ & Producteur Radio résidant dans la charmante ville de Die dans la Drôme.

Complètement fondu de musique jusqu'à la moelle, très tôt nourri au hip hop, aux musiques électroniques, à tous les styles de jazz, de funk, de rock, de bass music, de breakbeats, à la musique du Monde et à toutes sortes de fusions et de mélanges, je me suis rapidement retrouvé avec des platines entre les mains et une pile de disques de plus en plus volumineuse qui m'ont naturellement amené à vouloir partager, sensibiliser, cultiver et faire danser.

Au fil des années, jouant dans les soirées aux côtés de mes copains KaMiKaZe, Låxe, Romain Guitet ou Goldi, j'aime refléter mes influences très larges dans mes DJ sets. Ayant grandi à Paris et passé une partie de mon temps à Berlin, la vie nocturne et les clubs m'ont aussi donné un coup de foudre pour la techno et la house que j'aime tout spécialement jouer en tant que DJ.

Aujourd'hui résidant dans le sud de la France, entre Provence et montagne, je continue "au vert" d'assouvir ma passion musicale en produisant avec mon compère Goldi l'émission "BACK 2 BACK" et, en solo à partir de 2024, l'émission "APÉRO STÉRÉO" sur RDWA 107.5 FM (Diois, Drôme) et de jouer de temps à autres dans les bars et les soirées locales.

A music fanatic to the core, I was brought up at an early age on hip hop, electronic music, all styles of jazz, funk, rock, bass music, breakbeats, world music and all kinds of fusions and mixes. I soon found myself with turntables in my hands and an ever-growing stack of records, which naturally led me to want to share, educate, cultivate and get people dancing.

Over the years, playing at parties alongside my buddies KaMiKaZe, Låxe, Romain Guitet and Goldi, I like to reflect my wide-ranging influences in my DJ sets. Having grown up in Paris and spent part of my time in Berlin, the nightlife and club scene also led me to fall in love with techno and house, which I especially enjoy playing as a DJ.

Now living in the south of France, between Provence and mountains, I continue to indulge my musical passion "au vert", producing the "BACK 2 BACK" radio show with my mate Goldi and, solo from 2024, the "APÉRO STÉRÉO" radio show on RDWA 107.5 FM (Diois, Drôme), as well as playing the occasional gig in local bars and parties.

Dirlasion is currently helping Desert Raven, through his biggest mission yet, in the Mystical Vision community, cultivate a strong, spiritually-centered music community based on mysticism, healing, honest conversations among members of society, and a deeper journey in life, including the search for God, particularly in music.
