Taken from a music periodical ("Die Getreue Musikmeister"), Telemann's Sonata in D Major for Cello and Continuo was meant as a sort of home-instructional piece (think of infomercials---"Learn to play guitar at home in only 6 weeks!"). Elegant, spirited, and charming, it reflects a tectonic shift in the life of composers, as musical culture began to shift away from the courts and into the public sphere.

We also welcome back to the label The Sixth Sense who has delivered a really great remix. This is powerful Uplifting Trance .
The Original Mix at 135 BPM provides a banging intro with a very powerful kick, amazing Baroque style cello and dramatic choir. The breakdown is truly epic with beautiful strings and vocal samples followed by a massive build and huge climax with immense energy. This is an outstanding, very unique and original production which would be just great to open any set with .
For the remix The Sixth Sense delivers his own special style at 138 BPM producing a great driving intro with strong kick. There are nice moments of calm at the start of the break with a beautiful slower more emotional and melancholic feel to the cello. The build is wonderful and just soars as the power builds bringing us to to a huge climax which would make a real impact at any club or festival .

Professor of Recorder & Baroque Flute, Oberlin Conservatory of Music

Born in Cracow.

Magdalena Kasprzyk-Dobija graduated in cello and composition from Fryderyk Chopin State Secondary Music School in Cracow. In the year 2019 she obtained her Master's degree in performance on cello with Piotr Janosik at The Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. She studied viola da gamba in The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław with Kazimierz Pyzik. 

Currently she studies viola da gamba and historical cello at The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Mieneke van der Velden (viola da gamba) and Lucia Swarts (historical cello) .

She performed in Poland, Germany, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary and took part in world premieres of contemporary pieces and in recordings for Radio Cracow, Polish Television and Polish Radio. She performed e.g. during festivals Emanacje (Poland), Świdnica Bach Festival (Poland), Pro Archi Fesztival (Hungary), International Renaissance Festiva (Poland), and 25. International Festival of Kraków Composers. As a chamber music performer she took prize in international competitions in Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
