This timeless track is truly something special and is a full cinematic journey through his global sound and blend of styles.  Leaf Water and the full EP is a unique approach to global bass dance music, crossing genres and borders alike.  This sound and approach stand out sonically and rhythmically amongst the masses of bass producers and DJs, a truly unique experience.  This is just what Gravitas is always digging for and is a perfect release to showcase his sound.

“Leaf Water is one of my favorite songs I have ever written. The sound embodies an organic approach to electronic music production that I value very deeply. Using a combination of analog synths and live performance, I was able to blend the sounds to create a completely unique sonic environment. Every time I hear Leaf Water or play it, I take a pause, because music for me is therapeutic and the compositional elements of Leaf Water seem to ring my bells from past, present and future influences. It truly is a musical composition with sounds representing so many beautiful aspects of life and culture. The name of the song aligns with the sound of the song. The imagery for me is a tropical rainforest gulch, full of bioluminescent water droplets rolling from leaf to leaf, dancing their way through the vegetation, hydrating the bountiful ferns and jungle leaves along the way.” - ETHNO

Leaf Water opens with beautiful analog synth stabs and vocal chops, echoing around the soundscape and immediately enchanting the listener. It drops into a downtempo beat and organic textures filling the space and keeping the beautiful soundscape created before.  Slowly building and layering new ideas, this meditative beat brings in heavier bright synths that brings us back to the old school Flume sound.  This track is perfect for a beautiful day and mindful meditative state, listening over and over to find new aspects and parts you missed the first time around.

In the stillness of a world on pause ⟢ closed borders, endless lockdowns, international hibernation ⟣ there bloomed a rare moment of connection in the southwest of Australia. Amidst the uncertainty of 2020, Blossom Festival brought us Wildflower: an intimate gathering that reminded us of the power of music, movement, and togetherness, in a time of restricted freedom.

This delightful downtempo morning set on the main stage was a gentle unfolding — a blissful sunrise soundtrack of harmonic melodies and unfurling rhythms to welcome the dawn of a new day in a challenging era felt worldwide. This set is a memory etched in golden light and was an absolute honour to play.
