"Hometown's Defense" is a narrative re-imagining of Battle Against a True Hero, set at the climax of the "Weird" Route taken to its darkest conclusion.

The player's actions throughout the story have gone too far. Noelle is gone, passed as victim to your crimes. 

Kris, unwilling as ever, has been pushed past their breaking point, having foregone their plan with the Knight, and having forcibly ejected you from themselves for good this time. 

The Roaring Knight has had enough. And all of Hometown — every surviving friend, Susie, Ralsei, and every darkner who made it this far — has united against the one responsible.

YOU, who has dust and blood stained on your hands.
YOU disrupted the prophecy. Now it's fighting back.

The track weaves together Don't Forget, The Legend, Freedom, Castle Town, and Hometown itself around B.A.A.T.H's structure.

Follows the December Holiday is the Knight head-canon.

How could you say something so ridiculous! The reason you killed the monsters was "because it was necessary"? Where is the justification for that? There's no excuse for such a terrible story! The "Wish Room" I saw on my way here no longer held any hope. It was nothing but despair. Unless we stop your rampage, the entire Underground will fall into despair!
