Los bazares de Cultural Survival son festivales que desde hace mas de 40 años se celebran cada año y reúne a más de 30 vendedores en cada bazar. Estos bazares son una serie de festivales culturales, que ofrecen a artistas y artesanos indígenas, cooperativas y sus representantes de todo el mundo la oportunidad de vender directamente al público.

Los bazares son una manera de apoyar  las artes y los medios de vida indígenas a nivel mundial. Luzbeidy Monterrosa, mujer Indígena wayuúd de Colombia, participo por primera vez en el bazar de verano y nos cuenta sobre su arte,  arte que entre otras acciones, realiza como parte de la defensa de su territorio ¡compañeme a conocer un poco mas de su trayectoria! En esta breve entrevista realizada por nuestra compañera Diana Pastor.

Arnie has been involved in music all his life. It started with flute and trumpet in elementary school, followed by 16 years in a brass band, two years as a bass player in a psy-rock hippie band and 6 years in a rap crew. After a few years in seclusion, collecting vinyls and exploring all corners of psychedelic electronics, he felt that he should share what he discovered with others, so around 2016 he started mixing chillout first and later psytrance. 
You could hear him many times at events of his maternal Butcher's Bay Crew: Sunrice Festival and SpaceLiquid. But he also appears regularly at events of Shivadeco crew, Fullon Crew and United Sound Experience and during summer festival season you could hear his set for example at Psyna festival, Fénix festival, Invitation festival, Sunsara festival or UFO BUFO festival. 
Arnie's chillout selection is dominated by energic organic tracks with a folkloric motives and powerful synthetic bass, sometimes supplemented by a stupid, eight-bit acid melody. 
His psytrance selection is usually full of progressive, diverse, rather cheerful tracks from an earlier date with a melodic funky bass line, live instruments, electric guitar or orchestral samples.

Some of the biggest DJ names in the world hail from Belgium, producing music that has taken us to the furthest corners of house & techno music. Gijs Cox is a good example of what the small country brings to the world stage. A DJ/Producer who is able to merge various genres and combine them into a driving collection of beats and catchy grooves.

He was already on the line-up with world famous artists such as; Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, Charlotte De Witte, Nina Kraviz, Kölsch, Camelphat, Goose, Soulwax, Boys Noize, Fred Again..., Joyhauser, Jamie Jones, Patrick Topping, Joris Voorn, ... His ability to create that indefinable magic dropping in a set helps it stand out from the crowd. 
From the influences of rock and urban to commercial and 90s/00s straight to house & techno and beyond... His journey is one that transcends boundaries and builds the party atmosphere for all audiences.

In 2021 & 2022, Gijs Cox entered the scene as a producer and it was a huge success! He launched a huge release schedule with songs like 'IDLY', 'By My Side', 'Higher', 'Boom', ... Immediately he was asked to play the opening set at the famous Belgian festival; 'Pukkelpop' (as you can see here; https://youtu.be/vag_zZbOQtU) where he gave the 'Boiler Room' crowd an unforgettable opening set! After only 15 minutes everyone started screaming and singing and the party really started! Briefly; this was one to never forget! In recent years, his DJ gigs have taken him to almost every corner of Belgium, from Hasselt to Tongeren, from Diepenbeek to Bocholt to Roeselare, Lier, Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent, ... There are few places where you haven't seen him yet ! From gigs in famous clubs like; La Rocca, Versuz, Groovy Tunes to gigs on radio stations like Topradio & many others! In recent years, this guy has certainly proven that he deserves to be one of the bigger Belgian DJs! In 2023, he will once again rock the Techno Scene with another extensive release schedule with tracks like 'CU', 'Squeeze', 'Clouds' & 'Vortex' and his latest tracks 'Morning Light' & 'Dust'. With these Festival-inspired anthems that pump like no other, he's about to rock the Belgian club scene once again.

As his upcoming releases will show, that passion will live on and Gijs Cox's music will continue to reunite young and old on the dance floor.
