But are they the right things? So why not do Christmas differently this year?&nbsp; Create space for Christmas in the chaos. You don’t have to create a Pinterest-perfect Christmas to do that. What matters most is carving out space—not just on the calendar, but in your family’s heart and home—for the real gift of Christmas. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    That could look like lighting a candle each evening and reading one simple Bible verse about Jesus’ birth. Or maybe it’s slowing down long enough for a bedtime conversation that catches your child’s curiosity. With the cold chill in the air, it's no wonder that all you want to do is stay put and not do anything. Who wants to spend the holidays as if they are playing football in the snow? Yet, at some point, all the things need to get done by you or the holidays will feel incomplete. But the weather can't be the excuse. You must figure out how to gain more time during the holidays. No one will hand you extra hours. You have to earn them by making the time you have work more innovative—and that starts by connecting to your heart. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    What does “connecting to your heart” even mean in the middle of a frenzy? It means tuning in to what truly matters—not just what’s loudest on your calendar or nagging in your head. It’s a mindset shift.&nbsp; The K.I.S.S. ~ Save time on the right things!   And here are three things you can do that actually save time by focusing on the right things.  1. Prioritize What Feels Meaningful — Not Just Urgent Holiday checklists are full of “shoulds” shouted by world: culture, family, and tradition. But not everything deserves your time or energy. Real-life tweak: Before committing to another party, gift run, or decorating spree, ask yourself, “Will this make my heart lighter or heavier?” If it’s the latter, cut it out. As author Brené Brown puts it,&nbsp;“Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves, even when we risk disappointing others.” This saves time not by doing more—it saves time by doing less of what drains you, which leaves space for what energizes you. More energy, faster results.  2. Build Mini Rituals for Daily Reset You don’t need an all-day retreat, but five minutes each morning or evening to center yourself makes a huge difference. The goal is to ground yourself in your core values and the deeper holiday meaning behind all the madness. Real-life tweak: Light a candle while you sip your morning coffee and set one intention like, “Today, I choose calm.” Or write a sentence of gratitude to remind yourself why the fuss is worth it. As Thich Nhat Hanh said,&nbsp;“Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy.”&nbsp;A small ritual like this rewires your mindset, turning scattered frenzy into focused flow.  3. Say ‘No’ to Guilt, ‘Yes’ to Presence We cram days so full that we lose presence, which ironically steals time by creating overwhelm and burnout. Show up fully where you are instead of half mentally spinning five moves ahead. Real-life tweak: When you’re with family, phones down. When cooking, be in the moment with the food, not zoning out to holiday stress. If you say ‘no’ to one task or event, show up fully for the next one without mental baggage. Eckhart Tolle nailed it:&nbsp;“Wherever you are, be there totally.”&nbsp;Presence isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a time multiplier because fully engaged moments are more productive and more fulfilling.  The Bottom Line The holidays are not going to slow down for you. You have to slow down yourself to gain time and energy.&nbsp; This year, don’t let “busy” rob your holidays. 3905 How to Gain More Time During the Holidays

Sometimes life drags you through the mud and hands you a to-do list that looks impossible. The holidays, for example, can drain even the toughest among us. The endless planning, the mounting pressure to be “perfect,” and the burnout that follows can leave you feeling wiped out and questioning if you even have what it takes to finish strong. And that’s what you do; do what must be done. No excuses. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    This isn’t about ego or trying to be impressively bold. It’s about raw accountability—without guilt. It’s about showing up fully and owning whatever challenge lies before you. There’s no room for excuses, no time for self-pity. The legendary Zig Ziglar once said, “It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through.” You see, nothing worth doing ever happened by waiting for motivation to strike or the perfect time to arrive. There’s also the timeless wisdom tucked away in Proverbs 31:25—“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” This verse isn’t about fairy tale Cinderella, white picket fence house. It’s about being real with yourself, owning your power, and greeting the day with a fierce sense of preparedness and grace.&nbsp; What it boils down to is that everyone runs low on energy and doubts now and then. The difference is who decides to show up anyway. It's saying, “I’m doing this because I owe it to myself and the people who count on me.” Owning accountability without guilt means you accept responsibility but also give yourself permission to be human. You don’t wallow, you don’t whine—you take A.I.M., action ignites motivation. So, today, what’s your next move? Do you wait for inspiration and feel guilty for procrastinating and putting things off? Or do you stand up, take the reins, and get down to business with the fierce grit you have? It’s time to suit up; yep, just like Santa Claus. Put on those big red boots, or maybe it's more like those big girl panties, and show up! You’re stronger than yesterday’s doubts, more capable than your fears, and ready to take charge of what you can control—even when the going gets tough. No excuses.
