The Bank is a trio comprising of Francesco Brini, Domenico Loparco and Emanuele Zullo. Seriously good musician's with a love of afro & dub. These guys tour the world as the backing band for singer Jeff Jones. Brini has already built up an impressive of catalogue of music, recording as Frank Agrario for Prins Thomas's Internasjonal and also as a drummer for electronic pioneers Swayzak.

After a heavy storm broke around Jeff's Lake Tahoe hideout, it was soon clear that they wouldn't be hitting the road anytime soon. This was a key moment in the construction of The Bank! They spent the time researching, sketching out ideas and extracting every last piece of funk from their fingers and thumbs.

The Bank is drenched in vintage recording techniques but with an updated production that can satisfy any dance floor. "Lagos Tahoe" sounds like Peter King jamming with Titanic but produced by The Bank. "City Of The Dead" touches the dub switch with a polite ska rhythm that calls on hypnotic vocals which remind us of 80's band Maximum Joy.

"The Snatch" & "Chic Disco" are like funk bullets bouncing off the streets of Manhattan, "Zombie Nation" has a punky sharp synth bass that cuts through like a diamond encrusted blade. "Fishsticks" is the low slung funk bomb which would make Donald Byrd proud.

All together these new Bearfunk signings have made a very raw undiluted LP. They are custodians of their own sound which is heavily influenced by their influences. It's time to cash that cheque at The Bank!

Downtown Party Network might once have been a short yet magical period of New York City nightlife. Today the name stands for music from another side of the world - Lithuania. An entity combined of experiences, influences, events, trips, and adventures in music that have come together during the last 20 years.

Downtown Party Network’s music has been signed by german Get Physical Music and Dirt Crew Recordings, british Futureboogie and Anjunadeep, belgian Eskimo Recordings and australian Future Classic to name a few. The releases have been favorited by DJ Harvey, Dixon, Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada, Tensnake, Ame, Jamie Jones, Sasha.

‘Days Like These’ by Downtown Party Network released on legendary Eskimo Recordings back in 2009 became a dancefloor destroyer, hitting record shops’ charts and being played by countless amount of djs all around the world.

‘Space Me Out’, released in October 2013 by Silence Music, became one of the most charted tracks on Resident Advisor in 2013. Mario Basanov, Hannes Fischer and Musk accompanied the original track with brilliant remixes. Each of them received a significant amount of attention, as well as a melodramatic music video that was filmed in spooky Lithuanian nature. A year later, a new version of ‘Space Me Out’ was revamped and presented exclusively on ‘Deep House Amsterdam’ just before Amsterdam Dance Event and a brand new remix of the worldwide hit, crafted by the legendary producer Ewan Pearson. 

In the last years DPN had his shows in New York, San Fransisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Bangkok, Seoul, Mexico City, Jakarta, London, Berlin, Bali,  Bucharest, Ho Chi Minh, Moscow, etc.

Every smart human being is ditching the "civilized" world to get closer to his roots in the "third world countries" . The Bank pioneered the movement relocating in western Africa (lagos) in early 2010, making a living playing weddings, hotels, eateries, corporate events and clubs.
The international Bankers' meeting was the band best paying gig, but in order to get the sought after cash an account was mandatory, within the next minute they needed an address, a stay permit and a tax number, progress just got to Africa. Ten minutes later they named themself "THE BANK, spent their last $ on a rusty mini van and hit the road until a snow storm stopped them in Incline Village (NV) where they settled  few days offering their service at a local studio to survive. It was a stormy night when they pressed record, "upper class" was born. Spring was knocking at the door, snow melt, birds whistle beautiful melodies but the van hit the road again. Few month later Ambassador's Reception found the forgotten recordings and signed the Bank straight away, ready?

Clandestino have been involved in Leeds' underground music scene for over 20 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and inviting exciting DJ talent. Their esoteric style of dance music has gained them gigs at some of Europe’s premier club spots such as Renate in Berlin, Stalingrad in Paris, Geneva’s La Graviere and Powerhouse in Moscow in addition to being regular fixtures on the discerning festival circuit.
