This recorded mix is a true club set that I got the opportunity to play at the recent Haus of Horrors show on November 1st at Sub Rosa in Calgary (shout out Mikey and Beehive!). Curated and built for the dancefloor and one of THE most fun and unforgettable nights I’ve had behind the decks.

This set brings peak-time progressive house heat with a few melodic gems woven in, including a special, unreleased (at the time) track from Fauxplay & Anthony Pappa that was sent to me the day of the show. Huge shoutout to Fauxplay for the trust, the inspiration, and for continuing to release BEAUTIFUL music. Absolute goosebumps just thinking about it!

DJ El Niño, affectionately known as "El Niño," is a DJ like no other, not only because of his unique skills and trajectory but also because of his tremendous knowledge of the world's music catalog. He was raised in the Bronx by his parents, from the Dominican Republic, a country known for its cultural foothold of hot Latin sounds. El Niño discovered his love and connection with music at a very early age. His vast exposure to different genres and sounds allowed him to embrace other cultures, which was instrumental in harvesting an eclectic source of influences. Alongside musicianship, El Niño's positive attitude and resilience have led him to perform at some of the world's top venues. He continues to innovate and maintain an impeccable reputation delivering timeless performances at renowned venues such as Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos in the US and Estadio Pascual Guerrero in Colombia, Where he performed for crowds in excess of 50,000.

As the music industry continues to evolve and Latin urban music continues to overtake the throne as the number one genre in the world, El Niño continues to cultivate the DJ culture by maintaining on course with his mission of creating memorable and epic moments via his music.

I will be posting my live mixes here and really pushing myself to record on a more routine basis going forward. I’ve currently been immersed in Progressive House, Melodic House, Organic House and some Tech House, so these mixes will be heavily influenced by those genres. My goal is to take you on a journey with some of my favourite tracks, most of which are incorporated into recent Calgary shows I’ve had the opportunity to be on support with (shoutout Beehive!).
