It is interesting to compare the recordings of ‘beehive 1’ and ‘beehive 2’. Both hives stand next to each other in a meadow, they have exactly the same amount of sunlight, the same food conditions, are equally populated and the bees live in identically constructed wooden boxes. Nevertheless, they sound very different, they differ in the average frequency of the wing beats, the spread of the frequencies, the flight speed, even the rustling/clapping sound on landing is different. The owner said that this corresponded to the different personalities of each queen bee.

This is a insight into my mind from the past 2 years preview of the songs that I've been working on for the past 2 years since I was gifted a banjo and decided to write an album of banjo songs.  I collaborated with my friend Amy and my son Sebastian!  I like to think of my head as a beehive where melodies and coming and going much like bees from a beehive. I'm planning to upload the songs over the coming years, explaining my process and hopefully inspiring others to get creative
