NL: gebaseerd op de terugtocht van het Legioen. De militaire situatie verslechterde zienderogen en versterking sturen botste op tegenkanting van de Amerikanen. Op 12 december 1866 werd het legioen ontbonden. De legionairs werden op 24 december bedankt door de keizerin en kregen de mogelijkheid om met graadverhoging in het Mexicaanse leger te gaan, maar het perspectief was zo slecht dat weinigen daarvan gebruikmaakten. Begin 1867 liet Napoleon III Maximiliaan officieel aan zijn lot over. Op 20 januari 1867 voeren 775 Belgen met hun keizerin op de Rhône naar Brest en vandaar naar Antwerpen, waar ze op 9 maart aankwamen. (gemaakt met suno AI).

NL: Veldwakers is een simpel project uit België. Sinds ik geen muziekale kennis heb, of band heb, enkel een goede kennis van geschiedenis en en fantasie. De teksen zijn zelf geschreven en gebaseerd op feiten uit het Belgische krijgsverleden en tot leven gebracht met SUNO AI. Aangezien ik een fan ben van het metal genre leek de keuze rap gemaakt. Indien je zelf een band hebt en geïnspireerd bent door mijn project: mijn teksten/liedjes mogen hergebruikt worden, laat het mij gerust weten.

ENG: Veldwakers is a simple project from Belgium. Since i don't have any musical talent, or own a band, only a good knowledge of history and fantasy. The lyrics are written by myself and based on the Belgian military history and brought to life with SUNO AI. Since i am a metal fan myself the choice was obvious.
