Majoun ist eine Spezialität, die vermutlich aus dem 11. Jahrhundert stammt und ihren Ursprung bei den Berbern in Nordafrika hat. Diese süße Hanfzubereitung besteht aus Kief, Honig, Nüssen und orientalischen Gewürzen. Der Name „Majoun“ bedeutet übersetzt „geknetete Paste“ und beschreibt die Konsistenz dieser besonderen Mischung.

Trotz strikter Prohibition in vielen Ländern Nordafrikas hat Majoun über Jahrhunderte hinweg überlebt und sich als Teil der regionalen Kultur etabliert. Historiker gehen davon aus, dass die Verbreitung von Majoun dazu beitrug, Cannabis als Genussmittel und Heilpflanze im arabischen und später im westlichen Raum bekannt zu machen.

Majoun bietet nicht nur einen intensiven Geschmack, sondern auch eine überraschend starke Wirkung. Dies liegt an der Verwendung von Kief, den Trichomen der Hanfpflanze, die besonders reich an THC sind. Früher wurden dem Rezept sogar zusätzliche psychoaktive Substanzen wie Opium beigefügt, was heute jedoch aus gesundheitlichen Gründen strikt abzuraten ist.

Heute erleben Edibles wie Majoun eine Renaissance, vor allem in Ländern wie Kanada und den USA, wo Cannabis zunehmend entkriminalisiert wird. Einige Unternehmen haben die Herstellung von Majoun bereits wieder aufgenommen und bieten die Süßspeise in regulierten Shops an. Ein beeindruckendes Beispiel dafür, wie Tradition und Innovation Hand in Hand gehen können.

In 1995, at age 13, Dj Kiff One, passionate about urban music and tuntablism begins to become familiar with turntables, including combining scratch techniques, beat juggling and mix…

His musical universe is eclectic, largely influenced by Soul, Funk, Rap, R’n’B, but also by electronic music.

DJ, remixer and producer, he stands out as an iconic figure of Geneva nights, and that just in the beginning of his career.

In 2000, he met DJ JB with whom he founded his label and studio “TODJ’S” in order to promote his music.

During these five years of collaboration, he produced an impressive number of mix-tapes, albums, party breaks and singles of which several thousands of copies were sold worldwide.

From 2006 he achieved international renown with his innovative and crazy sets, which in each of his performances, literally return any audience.

Therefore, many of his songs like Punani, Lie to Me, Brand New Sound rank at the top of the French charts Yacast and are part of the most played songs in clubs since 2009.

From this year, he became a resident of the concept “Hype Hop Party” in one of the leading clubs in London, “Cirque le Soir”, which will become the must-urban evening in the city.

Still in transit, DJ Kiff One continues his world tour from Zurich to Los Angeles via Geneva, Paris, Kemer, Atlanta, Dakar, Dubai, Marrakech, The Caribbean, London, Chelyabinsk, Rome and many other landmarks of the world of the night.

Throughout his career he made the scenes of the most prestigious locations full of fans and he collaborated with big names in the music scene:
Will I Am, LMFAO, Akon, 50 Cent, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Flo-Rida, Ja Rule, Fat Joe Chris Rock, Macy Gray, Miguel, Tyga, Sean Kingston, The Game, DMX, Fabolous, LLoyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Fatman Scoop, Popcaan, Brick & Lace and many others.

After more than ten years of radio shows on the French and the Swiss waves NRJ Léman Radio Plus, Vitamine, Sun Fm, etc…. He is currently working in alternating studio sessions with various artists abroad, various projects that he eventually refine in his own studio, which earned him to be already signed with several large record companies.
