Daily Bible Verse:              Exodus 2:11

‘One day, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and looked on their burdens…’

- When we are young we are focussed on ourselves and our needs and wants.
- But as we grow and mature, we should begin to see the needs of others.
- We can’t solve everyone’s problems, but we can make a difference.
- As you ‘see’ what others are facing, be a blessing and help where you can.

Prayer: Lord, help me not to just be consumed with my own situation. Open the eyes of my heart so that I can see the challenges that others are going through. Give me a heart of compassion and help me to be a blessing. Amen.

Isaiah 59:1

‘Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.’

- God can rescue you regardless of how hopeless the situation may appear.
- He hears your prayers and He hears when you call on Him for help.
- He is ready to lift you up and to place your feet on solid ground.
- He is faithful and He will rescue, restore and provide for you.

Prayer: Lord, how great it is to know that Your mighty arm is able to lift me up and rescue me. Thank You that You know my heart’s cry and You hear my prayers – You will save me. Amen.

2 Samuel 22:4

‘I will call upon the LORD, Who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.’

- As His children we have the right and the privilege of calling on Him.
- Calling on the Lord is never a waste of time.
- It is the most powerful thing we can do.
- When we call on Him, He hears us and He steps in to save us.

Prayer: Lord, I call on You today. I take this moment to present my requests to You. You are the One Who can save me, even from my enemies. Therefore I will call on You and trust You with my life. Amen.

Isaiah 65:23		(NLT)

‘They will not work in vain, and their children will not be doomed to misfortune. For they are people blessed by the LORD, and their children, too, will be blessed.’

- You are someone who is blessed by the Lord.
- His hand of blessing rests on you and He makes everything worthwhile.
- He takes the little that we can do and turns it into inter-generational blessing.
- Don’t get discouraged or give up, your work and sacrifice will be rewarded.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You make everything worthwhile in our lives. A little can become much just because You touch and multiply it for us. I receive Your promise of blessing on my life and on the lives of my children. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:7

‘I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.’

- Keep on standing firm and pressing on – God is with you!
- Fight your good fight – remember a good fight is one you win.
- Don’t give up or get discouraged, finish the race.
- Keep the faith and hold on to God and His lovingkindness towards you.

Prayer: Lord, as I face the things that I have to face, I choose to hold onto my faith and confidence in You. You are with me and You will give me the victory. So I press on and by faith, I will finish the race that You have set before me. Amen.

This is what the LORD says: ‘Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.’

- God is your defender.
- He fights on your behalf.
- He can conquer every force that tries to oppress you.
- He can restore, deliver, release, bless and save you and your children.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that I can depend on every word You say to me. If You say that You will release me, restore me, fight for me and save me, then that is exactly what You will do for me. Amen.

Habakkuk 2:3

‘For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hurries toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it delays, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay long.’

- There will come a time when things will look different.
- Today you may be sowing in tears because of troubles.
- One day those will be tears of joy, because God has answered your prayers.
- The answers may seem slow in coming, but it will certainly take place.

Prayer: Lord, how marvellous, how wonderful, is Your love for me. You know the end from the beginning and not one word of all that You have spoken and promised will fail. I choose to trust in Your timing and plan. Amen.

‘Because I live, you also will live.’

- Jesus rose from the dead and that means that we can also know life.
- His resurrection brings His life into our lives.
- As we receive what He did for us, His life can flow within us.
- The life He gives us, includes the promise of eternal life and hope.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You rose from the dead to bring life to my heart. Forgive me for the things that I have done that have displeased You. Come into my heart and may I know what it means to live because You live, and because You live in me. Amen.

Isaiah 51:12

‘I, even I, am He Who comforts you.’

- The Lord wants to come alongside you to comfort and hold you.
- He knows your concerns, your fears and your worries.
- His comfort is real and tangible.
- Don’t give in to distress and despair, let Him put His arms around you. 

Prayer: Lord, I receive Your love, compassion and comfort in my life today. Thank You that You are willing and able to step into my life when others are unable to help me. You come to calm every storm and You restore my soul. Amen.

Proverbs 10:25

‘When the whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure forever.’

- The whirlwinds of life can flare up suddenly and come out of nowhere.
- However, they do not last forever – eventually they pass over.
- The wicked may seem strong for a moment, but their foundations don’t last.
- Those whose lives are built on the Rock, they are secure forever.

Prayer: Lord, I want my life to be rooted and grounded in You. With Your help, I will remain steadfast and enjoy security forever because You are with me. Thank You that because of Your eternal care, I am in an unshakeable position. Amen.
