Mr. Trancetive stands for a dedicated and loyal passion for all kinds of Trance music and the wonderful feeling it evokes. Making mashups and edits is his core business and his sets are packed with creative and surprising blends.

Mr. Trancetive (pronounce like 'transitive') alias Sjoerd Hoevens was born in 1987 in Haarlem, The Netherlands. From a young age he enjoyed music, especially when listening to the radio. Every Friday afternoon he rushed home from school to tune into the Top 40 to hear the greatest hits of the moment. He became a loyal customer at the local music stores and his CD-collection grew fast. He was often asked to play records at school parties and organized some of them at his parents’ home, which he really loved doing. As he had no DJ-gear but only two stereo sets, his mixing technique was a bit unconventional, blending tracks with the volume buttons and harmonic-mixing them by ear. It helped him develop a sensitive feel for smooth and harmonic transitions. Though he loves all kinds of music, his interest then already went out to Dance music. This was the late 90's/early 00’s, with great artists like ATB, Mauro Picotto, Faithless, 4 Strings, Scooter, Sash!, DJ Tiësto, Milk Inc. and Paul van Dyk.

When he heard John O’Callaghan’s tune Big Sky back in 2007, his love for Trance music skyrocketed and has never left. From that moment he tuned in to Armin van Buuren’s radioshow A State of Trance every single week. After visiting Trance Energy and Armin Only Imagine in 2008, Sjoerd decided to use his passion for Trance as a basis for his own creative interpretation of the genre. He bought his first DJ-gear and started mixing. In 2014 he posted his first mixtape on SoundCloud and in 2015 he started the production of mashups and edits. Since then his mashups got supported by Trance artists like Jorn van Deynhoven, Artento Divini, David Broaders, Johnny L, Tomac, Lazarus and many more. His inspiration comes from Trance artists like Armin van Buuren, Andy Tau, Solid Stone, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Billy Gillies, Farius, Gareth Emery, Ben Gold, Ashley Wallbridge, Sean Mathews, Omnia and many more.

Today he’s more productive and passionate than ever before and determined to share his love for Trance music with the world. Besides his solo project Sjoerd is also one of the hosts of the Dutch radioshow @Time4Trance, hosting Trance Connection on Afterhours.FM together with his UK based friend Nucrise (@rafa-arendz) and one half of the dynamic trance duo @CurrentWavesofficial. For this unique collaboration he teams up with his good friend @sverrezielmanofficial.

Daft Lucario is a Mexican/American DJ trio from New Jersey, USA & Oaxaca, MX made of American 21-year-old twin brothers, Sam & Tyler Orlick (better known as Samwell and Tydal/MultimediaLucario) as the American frontmen, and Mexican producer, Will Bautista as the Mexican frontman and producer. 

Originally a duo, At age 2 in 2005, the two brothers watched the movie, "Madagascar", which heavily featured the song, "I Like To Move It" by Reel 2 Real & The Mad Stuntman, which was the very first Electronic Dance Music track they had ever listened to. 

Many years later, at age 12 in 2015, They started listening to songs such as "One More Time," by Daft Punk which was the second dance music track they ever listened to. 

1 year later, At age 13, on February 16, 2016, Daft Lucario officially started to join the dance music game when they were in music class in middle school. However, because they had some technical difficulties with their sound, they originally ceased operations from 2017 until late 2018 when they were inspired by their best friend, @zannyduko to restart their career.

They're signed with their label Spectrum Music (a neurodiverse talent-focused label/joint venture of Samwell's company, Universonality Media and California-based record label/distribution service SUGO Music Group). Right now, Daft Lucario is rising in the dance music game, improving their sound over time. They're Inspired by bigger artists like Alan Walker, NWYR, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Daft Punk, Zanny Duko, SaberZ, W&W, Jeffrey Sutorius, Dash Berlin, KEVU, and Armin Van Buuren. One of their biggest dreams is to perform mainstage at Ultra Music Festival, EDC (Las Vegas, Mexico & Korea), Tomorrowland, Coachella, HyperGlow, A State Of Trance, ADE, and more. They specialize in the Mainstage Trance and Mainstage Techno subgenres of the electronic music scene.

In 2021, Daft Lucario announced that @wil-bau joined the group as Daft Lucario's producer and third member, making the duo into a trio. 

On November 1, 2021, Daft Lucario's frontmen, Sam & Tyler Orlick launched their side project / joint venture with American DJ-producer @zannyduko consisting of the Progressive Mainstage Trance (a subgenre popularized by @dashberlin) called, @dashwolfofficial. Daft Lucario is still continuing alongside Dash Wolf to this day.

On October 11, 2023, Daft Lucario did their very first closing set at the "Beats Bartenders Brushes" Open Deck Night, organized by Hoboken-based @get-down-dj-group marking a new era for the group. The future ahead is looking very bright. Whether it is under Samwell, Daft Lucario or Dash Wolf, the music isn't stopping anytime soon.

It has been over 16 years since his first love for EDM. Just like any other individual, Joshen had settled down in his area of interest as it made him feel most at home. Constantly exposed to a variety of eurodance and hands-up sounds since the age of 10, he inevitably found his love in trance music a few years later. However, this did not end here.

Based in Singapore, he has spun in venues such as Zouk Singapore, Yang, Avalon, Kyo, Mao, One Altimate, Azzura, Canvas, Home Club, Suit26, Fresh, Spiffy Dapper, Blu Jaz & Chameleon Club, exposing the crowd to melodic sounds rarely heard before by the majority.  He has also spun for international gigs in Malaysia and Indonesia. Furthermore, he has opened for international trance heavyweights including Aly & Fila, Solarstone, Indecent Noise, ReOrder, Driftmoon, Ferry Tayle, Temple One & Max Graham. Fueled with infinite passion and burning determination in music, he wishes to spread the love of music to more clubs in the future and show the world how music could be used as a powerful tool to reunite people.

In recent years, Joshen has been gaining strong recognition from the local and international music community. He has been heavily experimenting with other forms of music, both chill and harder in their aspects, including Psytrance, Hardstyle, Bass House, Dubstep, EDM and Techno. Therefore, do not be surprised to expect a variety of diverse mixes from him as he continues to experiment and discover new sounds!
