With a multi month adventure road trip down the east coast of Australia on the horizon, Synline shared his dreamy departing gift to which I layered subtle guitar interplay.

We found the music and its elements when looped a few times to be calming, and ideally, leading to a sense of relaxation.

'Depart' SeaShea=Synline

Isaac Karns is a musician and producer from Cincinnati, Ohio where he works out of his studio the Marble Garden. He is a multi-instrumentalist and producer whose work fearlessly explores disparate genres while seeking to cultivate an intuitive, childlike sense of creative freedom and collaboration. Bilateral Songs Vol. 1 is a new album of songs that incorporate bilateral stimulation that can be used both in therapy settings and for personal use. The genesis for this project began after Isaac was approached by Steph Ryall LPC, NCC, BCN, QEEG-DL about composing new music for use in her practice, with the goal of modulating brain states while listening. Each song encourages the production of specific brain waves through musical elements that alternate polarity between the left and right channels at specific rhythmic intervals, otherwise known as bilateral stimulation or dichotic listening. This album was written with the intent to foster reflection, restfulness and space to think and feel differently.

Connecting emotional release with felt physical experience is the core of somatic work. Inna Segal mentions in The Secret Language of Your Body that the gallbladder and liver are known to hold stored anger. Color frequencies such as red and green can be combined and visualized for healing. Whether you practice reiki and use this track as a companion, or you simply look up an image of Sei He Ki + Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, their effects will be present in this meditation. EFT tapping is guided in the practice, with affirmations supporting feeling, accepting and releasing stored anger, while bilateral stimulation music plays in the background.
