Créé autour de musiciens actifs de la scène rock française depuis des années (Success,Marquis, Le Pied dLP, Détroit, Collectif13, Santa Cruz, Celtic social club, Miossec …) SO WAT / Tribute rock / New Wave /
80's … est un collectif unique en France qui, en revenant à l'essence même des titres originaux, revisite sur scène ce répertoire aussi engagé que festif, fougueux et vibrant.

Un peu d'histoire:
Vers la fin des années 1970, dans une société qui commence à souffrir de politiques de plus en plus austères, une jeunesse incomprise, une certaine idée du DIY et de la provocation donnent un énorme coup de pied dans la fourmilière: L’idée est que tout le monde puisse faire de la musique, peu importe la technique et les moyens. Ainsi, tout le monde s’achète une guitare, une basse ou une batterie et se met à produire une musique la plus révoltée et la moins sophistiquée possible. Ainsi est né l'éphémère mouvement punk original. 
Mais très vite, certains musiciens vont se lasser et chercher un son plus élaboré tout en gardant le côté révolté du genre d’origine.
Ceci en a inspiré plus d'un. De cette vague post-punk sont nés en Angleterre de nouveaux groupes tels que The Cure ou Joy Division ; de l'autre coté de l'Atlantique, Talking Heads, Television et B- 52's ; en France,
Marquis de Sade sortait son premier album en 1979.

Le rock connaissait alors un réel nouveau souffle qui allait tout balayer sur son passage.

SO WAT Tribute / rock / New-wave / 80's a décidé de reprendre la vague, et ce dès 2025.
