This is the sound of a European Golden Plover flying over my recording station at 01:47hrs in the morning on nocturnal migration.

This is a recording made at Bempton Cliffs RSPB Reserve in East Yorkshire.  The bird was moving up and down a hedge line and at time was very vocal.

This was an opportune moment rather than setting out for this species but given the circumstances I think it worked out quite well.
