It's none other than Arnaud Rebotini this week for the GF series. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, and remixer, and has become one of the most emblematic figures in electronic music today, adept at straddling genres, both avant-garde and timeless, and bringing them together. His catalog speaks for itself having worked with iconic artists and groups such as Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Bloc Party, and many others. He's released on labels such as his own Blackstrobe Records imprint, Zone, the mighty Mannequin Records, Kling Klong, and a slew of others. For this podcast, he's assembled a high voltage EBM and electro-driven selection with tracks by Lokier, new Filmmaker on Veyl, Laurnet Garnier, some of his own remixes, and more. Lock in.

In 1997, I bought a compilation cassette tape called 'Club Hits 97/98' - just because it had a picture of a football on the cover. At the time I knew nothing about proper electronic music, and I didn't realise just how fucking good this collection of tunes was, and still is 25 years later... Anyway, this mix is a bit of a nod to that compilation and how much it influenced my music tastes as a young kid.

Jim Poe has been spinning underground dance music since 1992. His career was forged on New York’s house scene in the 90s, where he was a founding member of the FSR crew – the Funky Soul Rebels – known for their legendary loft parties. Now based in Sydney, Jim was a resident of Deep House Australia and now hosts Classic Album Sundays Sydney. Jim also works as a freelance writer and journalist, and has contributed to inthemix, The Guardian, SBS, Red Bull Music, Junkee and Beatport. He's also a full-time dad, an organic gardener and a revolutionary socialist.

Arnaud Rebotini is a singer, songwriter, producer and remixer, he has become one of the most emblematic figures in electronic music today, adept at straddling genres, both avant-garde and timeless, and bringing them together. 
For example, his Zend Avesta project (Organique, Universal 2000) married electronic music with a chamber orchestra. 
With his analogue synthesisers, he became a central figure on the scene of new international techno, marking renewed enthusiasm for the use of electronic instruments rather than just computers. His live shows have always been unanimously celebrated (Music Components, Citizen 2008, Someone Give Me Religion, K7 - 2010) and his remixes for pour Depeche Mode, David Guetta, Rammstein, The Rapture, Bloc Party, Acid Washed and Tristesse Contemporaine are as indicative of his sets at the biggest clubs and festivals (playing live or mixing) as his collaboration with the highbrow Groupe de Recherches Musicales, especially with Christian Zanési for their Frontières project.
