Jaime James, also known as Gaijin, began his DJ journey in Northern California, immersed in the San Francisco Bay Area’s vibrant underground scene, where crate digging and late-night vinyl sessions shaped his sound. Introduced to DJing by his brother, he developed an enduring passion for vinyl and hip hop that continues to guide his musical direction.

After a five-year break from performing, Jaime returned with a renewed focus and evolved approach to dance music. Combining digital precision with classic techniques, he weaves soulful house, deep grooves, and hypnotic techno into seamless, emotionally driven sets that feel both timeless and forward-looking.

Jaime has held residencies at iconic San Francisco venues, including The Endup, and performed at major events such as Winter Music Conference/Miami Music Week, Movement Detroit, and Burning Man. His international appearances span Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, and the UK. With a career built on deep musical knowledge and boundary-pushing creativity, Gaijin continues to inspire dancers and DJs alike.
