Blank Code is an outstanding Detroit-based label that has a slow and steady approach with quality always at the forefront of their minds. The newest M4 Compilation features contributions from a strong line-up including Brian Sanhaji, Takaaki Itoh, Luis Flores, Linear System, Anthony Jimenez and Max Gardner.

Brian Sanhaji has been influencing modermn techno for sometime and the veteran producer / engineer from Germany is also the owner of SENSOR and EgoTon, while having appeared on other labels like Chris Liebing’s CLR to Heiko Laux’s Kanzleramt.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Phasis” that is simply a bleeping masterclass. Abstract and bizarre, the crunching percussion and modular workout create a sci-fi atmosphere that give it a strange groove with captivating elements and sound design depth.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Luis Flores. The Mexican artist who has previously released on Blank Code returns to the imprint with his new track "Man Vs Nature", which begins with a shuffling kick and swelling sub bass, followed by sci-fi bleeps and abstract sound effects. Almost cinematic overall, the scything synth creates a dystopian feeling of intimidating electronic growls. The release also includes tracks from techno masters Anthony Jimenez, Brian Sanhaji, Linear System, Max Gardner and Takaaki Itoh.

Polish producer Rraph has close ties to the well known Gynoid Audio, Translucent and Counter Pulse, being the A&R staff scout for many years gaining invaluable experience in the industry. Not only is he a key figure for the aforementioned Elektrax Music offshoots, he also has releases on other notable labels like Nachtstrom Schallplatten and [R]3volution.

His new Pulse Modulation EP on Blank Code sees him debut on the outstanding Detroit imprint. With a total 4 original tracks plus 3 remixes, included for some rework action are label partner Anthony Jimenez, Chicago legend DJ Hyperactive and the label co-founders collaborating as Project 313.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Dioptric” that has a powerful kick rhythm and growling sub bass with a breathing presence to set the scene. Elastic clacks morph throughout and soon become met with dull yet freaky stabs to push it to new heights of sound design excellence as well as being a gritty and raw club cut.

Drumcell is a regular on Blank Code since it began in 2012, and this time he reappears for his second release in collaboration with Luis Flores since their two-track outing called 'Flux' in 2016.

Los Angeles techno legend Drumcell is known for his mechanical sounds that have graced quality labels including Rødhåd’s Dystopian, Chris Liebing's CLR and his own, now dormant, DROID Recordings. 
The in demand producer can also be found collaborating with Speedy J or remixing the likes of Dubfire to Alex Bau.

Luis Flores is a prominent and influential techno artist from Mexico who has contributed to Blank Code a number of times over the years and also lists EPs on Emmanuel's ARTS, Chris Liebing's CLR and Alex Bau's Credo to name only a few.

"Milk Daze" is an overall twisted and broody take with abstract, sci-fi effects as is its focal point. 
Delayed percussion highlights and sweeping machine-like groans create a unique sound palette of analogue exploration.

Patrick Lindsey has an illustrious history as an influential artist stemming from 1994, who also many techno aficionados will know as Voodooamt. A solid production catalogue spanning many hit works for labels like Heiko Laux’s Kanzleramt, Coyu’s Suara, Marc Romboy’s Systematic, Dubfire’s SCI+TEC, two albums on Harthouse, and running his own School Records, prove an undoubted pedigree. He also lists collaboration credits with Terminal M’s boss Monika Kruse, Gregor Tresher while also offering remixes for the likes of Adam Beyer, Radio Slave, Thomas Schumacher, to Oliver Huntemann, as well as DJ’ing all around the world. This exclusive mix has an introspective start with raw, hypnotic tracks with sci-fi elements, grinding textures, and haunting hooks. Linear System is an artist based in Costa Rica who has close ties to the highly regarded Scottish imprint, Edit Select Records. A label that has released four out of five of his studio albums, as well as several EPs in just a few years.
