Electronic music pioneers Booka Shade return with a special deluxe edition of their acclaimed twelfth studio album, ‘For Real’, on Blaufield Music. Originally released in March, the album showcased the duo’s signature melodic-driven sound and marked a return to the organic textures and emotive synth work reminiscent of their beloved ‘EVE’ era. Now, with ‘For Real (Deluxe Edition)’, fans are treated to four additional tracks on 24th October, three of which are completely new and previously unreleased, expanding the original album’s sonic landscape.

The afterhour is more than just an extension of the night - it is a universe of its own full of quirky, heartfelt and often hilarious moments. It is the place where the music lives on, time stands still and the party community forges its strongest bonds - even if it is sometimes only perceived with half an open eye and a wry smile. 

Over 10 years we host our famous podcast series. Which started as an small idea of some Afterhour nerds developed over the years to something special for us ♥️

In the beginning, we focused on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming.

Born on the 29th of May 1981 in Zwolle (NL), where he came in touch with the Mo-Town music of his parents at an early age. Elroy mixed his first House records and recorded his first mixtapes in the attic of his parent’s house. The rest was history.

The first gigs for an audience were at self-organised parties and eventually Elroy was invited to play for a number of local organizations. Slowly but surely the bookings got better, the stages got bigger and he got to play for more people. His real breakthrough came a few years later when he played sets at Dutch festivals: ADE, Loveland and A Day At The Park.

His style can be recognised by its energetic and danceable Melodic House and Techno sound. His sets are always mixed in key, have the right balance between vocals and deeper records and feature long mixes. He pays a lot of attention to the construction of the set with which he likes to take you on a journey through his musical story.

Elroy listens and collects new music every day and mixes a new mixtape at the end of the month. So keep an eye on this Soundcloud!
