Supplying a steady stream of deep twisted-tech and progressive cuts, he has now established himself with an entirely original sound that has garnered attention from Anthony Pappa, Karotte & one of the earliest champions of his sound, Nick Muir.

A principios de siglo, cuando la electrónica acababa de explosionar llenando las calles de clubs y las zapatillas de baile, hubo un sello que supo llevar todo ello más allá y generar una de las primeras sectas musicales que se recuerdan. Hablamos de Border community, camada de genios como Nathan Fake, Four Tet, Luke Abbot, Extrawelt y por supuesto del mayor de todos, James Holden. Es, y no nos pasamos de frenada diciendo esto, uno de los sellos más influyentes de la historia de la electrónica, y como tal se merece su electromagnética.

Fueron los responsables de que en pistas anteriormente saturadas por el beat la peña bailara con los ojos cerrados melodías eternas, y a quien hay que agradecer que en unos años donde el mínimal mal entendido era omnipresnete dejándolo todo de mierda hasta el techo, daban esperanza y alivio al oído del inquieto.

Sello que sigue vivo, 20 años después, que sigue inventando y que sigue arrastrando a sus feligreses al templo de turno. Hoy toca en esta Kely y en este medio; la radio.

HSR #094 -  Lost On The Way To Amnesia (Minimal & Deep Tech)

It's probably no exaggeration to say that the abstract, entertainingly confusing, James Holden-esque sound was quint-essential and defining for many of us when Border Community was founded and for a long time afterwards. The seemingly disordered, but intentionally controlled chaos permeated all the so-called underground music at that time and gave a boost to gigantic talents. This was also the case with two Swissmen, Mikro Loko and Ripperton as Lazy Fat People, put the best pieces of their careers on the table: the "Big City / Dark Water" EP was one of the most sold vinyl on the label. The track called "Dark Water" was an ultimate secret weapon of any James Holden performance around that time, he often opened his DJ sets with this one. Murky, chaotic, aggressive, vehement - everything that I love about this period of the Border Community sound.
Made exclusively for my "Treadwheel 02" mix, I strengthened things with vast grooves and reconstructed the whole track with a sudden mood switch after the breakdown. I think it's the perfect way saying goodbye to the summer and soon getting ready for colder times.

minor.Frequencies is a music enthusiast that shuffled through several musical adventures and genres. It was 2005 when electronic music started to intrigue him, and it was 2006 that he moved to Brighton & Hove, United Kingdom where he began his studies on music informatics and technology. It was there when, influenced by the British culture, he started digging in every possible sound he could. The first opportunity came when he started mixing his favourite minimal techno and micro house tunes at clubs and events such as Ocean.Rooms, The beach club, Zap, Supernova, The fiesta etc. In 2012 he returned to Greece and he joined the Oranje bus crew who has been organising parties around the country.

A brief insight: Vinyl DJ and resident for Timewarp in Bournemouth. My story is as follows:

Having been exposed to electronic music from the age I had ears, I suppose it was inevitable that I've taken the musical path that I have. Growing up listening to artists such as Human League, Visage, Duran Duran, OMD, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis etc when the Trance boom came around in the 1990s I was sold. Whilst my school friends listened to Brit Pop. Indie or Hip Hop, I immersed myself in hundreds of dance compilations from the likes of Ministry of Sound & Nukleuz. Still far to young to venture out clubbing I played every compilation to death.

Once I'd turned 18 I found myself at The Opera House in Bournemouth every Friday for Slinky. The music policy was pretty simple but very spectacular: THE finest Trance and Hard House DJs on the planet! Every DJ you'd ever care to mention that was making a noise within those genres during the early noughties played at Slinky. It was Mauro Picotto though who caught my attention the most. Famed perhaps for his Trance anthems such as Lizard, Iguana & Pulsar, it was his ability to crossover into the Techno field that interested me. His Nukleuz compilation "The Lizard Man" is a prime example of this and that led me to his compilation released a year later titled Metamorphose.

Fast forward 5 years and 2 trips to Ibiza in the summer of 2007 convinced me that the Trance scene had gone stale and it was time to focus on the other constant in my musical life: Techno. Picotto's Metamorphose compilation was littered with tracks linked to Picotto (productions, remixes or signed to the BXR imprint) but the standout tracks were Electric Deluxe - Electric Deluxe, Devilfish - Manalive & Chris Liebing - CLR 07.

After 10+ years dabbling with Techno, I found myself back at the beginning. In April 2019 and before everybody started digging their 1210s out the loft during COVID, I decided to go back to basis and re-ignite my love for all things Trance and vinyl and launch a mix project titled Vinyl Destination. I've been doing that for 5 years and now decided to bring all those mixes into one place here on Soundcloud.

Most recently I’ve become a resident for the rapidly growing vinyl only night Timewarp based in Bournemouth. Prior to that I played at a few local nights here and there and held a residency for 2 years on an online Trance radio station called Trancemixers that then morphed into a website called Electronic Mixes. By all means I'd love to play out at a variety of parties so if upon listening to anything I post you think I can provide a soundtrack to a party then please get in touch :-) I'll just need a set of 1210s to play on!

Re-locating from downtown Chicago to Los Angeles in early 2013, James enjoys the chance to share his love for real house music, detroit inspired house-techno, acid house, electro, ambient, dub and other properly heady dance music. His dedication to the rich musical roots of Chicago, Detroit, Berlin can be heard (and felt) in his dynamic vinyl DJ sets as well as live performance.

His passion for the music is also extended through to his his ongoing studio efforts and DIY analog-style productions, remixes and collaborations..

Aurelien Stireg is born in Belgium in 1982, he Has begun his Dj career in the years 2000.
His name was Dj G-Traxx at that time. 

Surfing on the Belgium House Vibration , he first played Progressive Trance and Tech-House/Funky .
At that time, he was known from the international house scene. 
A few years later, Aurelien , Dj G-Traxx stopped his Dj career and became a web site developer .

Working for jQuery UI Bootstrap and his development , he became the "father" of a few world known apps as Jquery ui bootstrap , Magix cms etc... 
He also put all his free time in studio development of Deep house tracks.

2 years ago the name of aurelien Stireg was born, he playing Deep House and Electronica-House/Funky . 
He works for a famous Radio named Studio One Radio. He plays live for that radio 2 times a week in the same way as Dj Marko , Avicii, Marco Bailey, Mike Menotti, Christian Varela, John Dahback Etc..
His world Dj ranking is growing up every day..

He starting the production at 27 years old and begin with Ableton Live.  He work actualy with some label Cosmic Love Records and other.

Born in Brussels, Dan Walter starts in the mid 90's within the Hardcore-Gabber scene, an extraordinary skill experience behind the decks. Followed by dj residency in Belgium and events in Netherland. Early 2000, He wanted to make his own sound. A compromise between the energy of Hardcore and the groove of House music. Re-unite the influences, synthesize things to make something unique.
He got noticed first with remixes where his personal touch brought another dimension to vocal House tracks (Barbara Sheree )or Minimal tunes (Datensi)
Labels like Manzi Music, Crossworld Records, Plus Recordings and Audio Rehab London gave him chance to release his personal work. Multiple imprints for a multiple artist. Dan Walter isn’t easy to follow, because of his many shapes and work supports. A complete artist who is originally active in the fashion world as a hairdresser and photo artist.
