Dr. David Thorstad advocates for a reason-responsiveness consequentialist approach, clarifying and defending core insights of bounded rationality and addressing recent epistemological debates.

Dr. David Thorstad is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Vanderbilt University. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University and has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Global Priorities Institute, Oxford, and a Research Affiliate at the MINT Lab, Australian National University. His research focuses on epistemology and value theory, exploring bounded rationality, altruistic decision-making, and the ethics of emerging technologies.
