Paco Osuna's record label, Mindshake, drops a stripped-back tech house EP by David Lowe featuring Llinares and Javi Miramontes, which has flowing percussion and rolling basslines.

Based in the UK, David Lowe is making his debut on Mindshake, following music on other labels ranging from SK Recordings, to his own Tainted Records. He is a London-based DJ and producer whose upbeat style is tailor-made for the dance floor.

Hurting Heels

I remember feeling so freakin empty when I wrote this song beside my open window on a cool, sunny day. Skywatching really makes you feel things when you're bored! At the time, I was breaking out like crazy, and honestly, I’ve felt like my acne has never been gone since I was 14.

I used totebags in this song as a symbol of feminism and self-expression, something people in my life thought was unattractive for a boy. For me, it became a way to turn judgment into understanding. To keep it up for interpretation, this song is simply about accepting yourself. There are no shortcuts to feeling truly loved other than giving yourself a little more love.

It took a while for me to put this out because I worried my lyrics didn’t make sense. But I’m glad my heart stayed true to this song, and I hope you could find your own meaning in it:)
