This cover of Born to Run was inspired by Bruce’s unforgettable concert in Philadelphia on December 9, 1980, the night after John Lennon’s passing. Before starting, Bruce told the crowd:
“It’s hard to come out here tonight. Twist and Shout was the first song I ever learned. But sometimes you just gotta go on…”

Those words still echo today. With this version, Gigi carries that spirit forward — a reminder that music must always go on. Gaia unleashes a soaring guitar solo, the band brings Wall-of-Sound energy, and together we honor the voices who shaped rock forever.

This is not a live bootleg — we wanted studio clarity with high-quality production, while still keeping the fire and emotion of the stage.

Eddie Sing & The 31 Days appears a merging of the past and the future, tapping into the collective spirit of America as she lies divided and in pain.  Their album is a spectacle beginning with the Missouri State Police following Michael’s Brown’s death in Ferguson, American Split is a tour de force of anguish, liberty, remorse and temptation.  It flies off the cuff, takes an immediate and remarkably chancy and rather dramatic before ceding to those who insist on radio friendly hits to a more resonate and real fiddling with the truth.  The albums bottom is Mine O’L.A. where the truth seems to reside for the band and then with a raw and nearly violent, Who Do You Love?, and, a classic in the making, with The Dream, Eddie Sing & The 31 Days demonstrate their ferocity with the quantum brilliance of this album and, somehow a game (and a rather fun one, at that) z

It’s an ARG, American Split, she is, if you could call her that. 

But, shush!

Come on a journey with two HBCU alumni, Sharelle and Sierra, for a weekly discussion covering topics from politics to pop culture to current events! Welcome to Headwraps and Lipsticks where the conversations are plentiful, thought-provoking and funny!

Ranie Ribeiro's artistic journey has taken on new dimensions and disciplines. Formerly known by his DJ moniker D-Ribeiro, Ranie Ribeiro is solidifying himself as a harpist. 

One of the notable aspects of his transformation is not only embracing the role of a composer, but also as a stage performer. 
For award winning choreographer Sedrig Verwoert’s latest piece “The Ritual” (2023), Ribeiro was initially commissioned as a co-composer alongside Phantom Wizard. Eventually both self taught musicians performed live on stage while Sedrig Verwoert and Alanna Archibald executed the piece in elegant movements.  

In live performances at acclaimed venues such as Paradiso, Melkweg and de Doelen (2023) Ribeiro used the harp to experiment with classical, electronica and hiphop elements while creating and adding on to existing compositions he describes as meditative and vulnerable. Ribeiro also appeared with singer-songwriter Linde Schone on NPO 3FM and with the newly formed Kinship Ensemble at Ruigoord (2023).

Ribeiro unveils his talents as a score composer for the first time on Het Jaar Rond on Nous’Klaer (2021), commissioned by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. Embracing the harp’s delicate resonance he went on scoring various projects such as Het Limburgse Landschap (2021), Short Scores (2022) commissioned by Eye Film, and most recently, Waka Nanga Mi (2023). The latter short film was screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and received massive public acclaim.

Critic Nicolas Rapold talks with guests about the movies they've been watching. From home viewing to the latest from festivals and retrospectives. Named one of the 10 Best Film Podcasts by Sight & Sound magazine. Guests include critics, curators, and filmmakers.

SINCERE IMPOSTER writes, performs and/or produces a curious mixture of New Wave, Dance, EDM, Folk Rock, Metal, Art Pop, Electro, Dreamwave & Experimental World Pop. Collectively, it's a genre known as QUIRKPOP --- Music that makes you say, "What the hell is this?"

The band currently consists of two members, both living within the same body, sharing a similar existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused. However, both are extremely and unapologetically sincere. 

Influences include Weird Al, Nathan Fielder, David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain and T-Swift. Their favorite inventions are the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel... who may be an entity or a god.
