This week, our top 3 issues are these: 1) we explain why the "simple answer" some claim solves Alaska's outmigration issue is, in fact, a significant reason we are in a death spiral in the first place (2:17), 2) we explain why the Alaska LNG Phase I project, as discussed in the Wood Mackenzie report, isn't a "private sector" project, but, in fact, a proposal that is already heavily subsidized by the state (14:51), and 3) we ask, where the heck is the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) on the Southcentral energy issue. The statutes say they should be at the center of it, but when we look around, they are nowhere to be found (35:32).

Welcome to The Weekly Top 3 - our look at the top 3 things on our mind here at Alaskans for Sustainable Budgets - for the week of December 16, 2024, our last show of 2024.

This week, our top 3 issues are these: 1) we explain why, by completely ignoring an important statute, Dunleavy is failing in his responsibility to "protect the economic stability of the state" (2:25), 2) we discuss our big takeaway from the Fall Revenue Sources Book: while producers clearly are benefitting from SB 21, the statute is failing miserably to allocate a fair share of revenues to the state (19:48), and 3) we look at recent developments in the Cook Inlet, where Enstar is openly seeking a state subsidy to reduce its gas costs but Chugach Electic commendably is moving forward with market solutions (37:56).

And as befits an end-of-year show, after we finish those, Michael and I add one more segment to briefly summarize what we see as the biggest issue facing the state at the end of 2024 as we look ahead to the beginning and upcoming session of 2025 (55:35).

📌Quelques repères :
⚠️L’importance de l’échange familial : Avant de mettre en place une mesure, il est utile d’en discuter au sein de la famille, parfois de consulter un médiateur familial pour clarifier les rôles et attentes.
👉L’objectif des mesures : Protéger, soulager et rassurer les personnes concernées. Contrairement aux idées reçues, ces dispositifs permettent souvent de réduire le stress des personnes vulnérables et de leurs proches.
🏥L’évaluation médicale : Essentielle et obligatoire pour établir s’il y a une altération physique ou psychique justifiant une mesure de protection. Cette évaluation payante est réalisée par un médecin agréé (forfait de 160€). Une aide financière peut être sollicitée via un travailleur social pour les personnes aux revenus modestes.


📌Les mesures de protection :
Curatelle : Une mesure d’assistance. En curatelle simple, la personne conserve la gestion de ses comptes ; en curatelle renforcée, c’est le curateur qui gère le budget.
Tutelle : Une mesure de représentation où le mandataire agit seul, avec l’autorisation du Juge, car la personne protégée n’est plus en capacité de prendre des décisions autonomes.
Habilitation familiale : Réservée aux proches, elle est plus souple, sans obligation de rendre des comptes annuels au Juge, et peut être générale ou limitée à certains actes selon les besoins de la personne.


📌Les mandataires judiciaires ont un rôle crucial, en assurant à la fois protection et transparence. Ils s’adaptent aux besoins de la personne protégée pour garantir son bien-être.

I Nordeas julundersökning kan vi se att svenskarna är mer hoppfulla och har en ljusare framtidstro. För nu växer julbudgeten igen efter att ha krympt i tre år och stiger till 6 769 kronor. Det är en ökning med 13 procent jämfört med julen 2023 då det var 5 972 kronor. Nordeas privatekonom Anders Stenkrona berättar mer i senaste Sparpepp.
