My name is Jayson Joshua Ontong, I am a Music Producer that goes by the name, "ARK1".

I was born to a typical family in St. Louis.  My father's love of music quickly took over my Midwestern upbringing.

In elementary school, I took to writing rhymes as well as playing violin and trumpet.  I continued to play trumpet until high school, as well as participating in school and church choirs.

Near the end of high school, a friend and I took up the art of the DJ (when vinyl was the only option).  At Hampton university, I picked up the nickname "the Professor" for knowing a little bit about everything. The love of DJing and rocking crowds through college and after brought me to the conclusion that I should begin producing my own music - making makeshift production rigs with a borrowed tape recorder, keyboard and an Alesis drum machine I bought near the end of my undergraduate career.

In 2009, I got more serious and purchased a set of equipment to begin his journey into the music world with a friend named Jason. Check out my sounds here!

It started with VERY electronic sounds on my Amiga 500 (with my buddy hEadshave). Now I enjoy just sitting and playing piano or guitarr (or whatever I can get a sound out of).
